Lord help me, WHY do Sky sell EU products when we left! Grrrrhurhrhgrh.
Is there a way to stop having to 'pick up' the Sky remote every hour, we cannot watch a film without having to scramble for remotes to prove we're still watching, it's infuriating. We have to do it for Sky AND the TV and I think I might have a breakdown.
STOP THE MADNESS.

It's a Comcast product rather than a Sky product. Comcast have decided to create a standardised product they can use in all the countries they operate in globally and it would appear have decided to limit regional variations in the software. Typically this is not only done for cost reasons but to make support and development easier as the more variations they have the longer each software release needs to be tested for and the more that can possiblymgo wrong.

It's very frustrating @SwankyOrc if you watching a program but also if like me you are neurodivergent, surely it can be removed

Sky Steam in the US - `xumo` https://www.xfinity.com/learn/xumostreambox
Look famiilar... 🙂 ahhh now I know why it don't look like Sky Q, that was made in UK before Comcast takeover, Sky Steam was not, its a US product so when is Sky becoming Comcast then like Amstrad beacme part of Sky and Love Film became Amazon Prime Video.... 🙂 only time, while the Sky name make Comcast money it will keep it, Sky are not independent no more, Shame Rupert Mordoc had to sell it, he wanted FOX to buy it but they were out bid by Comcast, it was on the news(I like him and Alan Sugar), he was falsed to sell it anyway, it was getting to big, a Monopoly, he didn't want to sell Sky, anyway... 🙂

Looking at the Xumo Streaming box Manual... https://nuance.xumo.com/support/manual in Startup and Standby it has the option thats missing from the Sky Strean box...
`Auto standby: Set how long it takes for your box to turn off after no activity.`
This contols the box standby and should be on the SKY Steam Box Settings Menu, it missing WHY, it not missing on Comcast Xumo Streaming Box...?
There GUI is identical to each other so should have the same settings, does Sky not want you to use it as your main TV and use Freeview mainly or is it been removed by accent, if the box keep going on standby customers will get sick of it and eventually cancel it when there are out of contract and just use Freeview in the end.
`Default to live TV` is a good idea too... 🙂

Australia's version of the Stream puck, the Hubbl Hub, has a more generous time limit before going into standby:

Mine only gives the prompt after a couple of hours or so, not every hour...
For instance, during an F1 event I'll have to give it a shake once during the whole broadcast
