The handshake issue for me disappeared when I switched the sky Q box to 1080 rather than 2160. Also the picture improved on normal HD.
I reset the TV (LG G4) as advised by LG and have had no trouble since. Cancelled the Ultra HD from Sky too.

Just to add to the above, the handshake did improve when 8-bit was set instead of 10-bit on the 4K resolution.

Just a TV reset to factory fixed it for me, until a TV software update comes along and than another TV reset. I have switched off auto updates for now.
Ultra HD is working fine via Sky.

Bought a new lg g4 sound and picture dropouts on dvd changed hdmi lead for a 8k ,have not seen a recurrence but need to recheck on a dvd but it may have worked , similar on sky box , just wondering if a new cable is req , also on these new lg g4 a1 tvs , if you use a1 to adjust sound it will perfect it but when you switch on next day you lose the setting , a1 does not necessarily set it back as before , waste of time using it if after 2 hours of messing about next day , settings gone , i went through trustpilot using all the major tv brands all show a high level of dissatisfaction , all to quick to get on the market without testing to req level ?, [ ex quality control rtd ]

Can you give us a step by step guide on how you fixed this problem

had to get rid off lg tv in the end it was anything but smart , regarding interference with a dvd player , i had a 8k lead buy chance and changed the lead between the dvd player and the tv , but the tv was useless , sent it back and got a sony bravia , no issues , as 8k leads are backwards compatible you can use them without issues , well worth the extra cost if it saves you hours every day resetting issues . sony very good as hdmi connections have frequency details . no issues anymore with interference with sky , so far .
