Out of contract - switching to new SIM only offer

Hi,

I've been out of contract for a while and have just been told of a new price increase so I'm looking to switch but have found a good VIP deal.  The T&Cs says it's only available to Sky VIPs when purchasing a new data plan.  I'm happy to lock in for a fixed 12 months but want to keep my number so how to I get this deal without paying for two SIMs at once or losing the cover of my current plan?  I can't see live chat but it is late and the guides don't help.

Hi @lir7  you would need to call sky on 150 and ask if they can apply that offer to your existing sim. If they say no then your other option is to order that sim on that deal, that will come with a new number, you then activate it and then port your old number to a different network on PAYG then port it back onto the new sim. You can't port from sky sim to sky sim.

Thank you.  Why is life never easy?!  I was about to run away from Sky now I'm willing to stay but there are still loads of hoops to clamber through.  😶

It may just take a phone call @lir7  I called and got one of the new customer offers applied to my old sky sim 🤞🏼

TMI but I was looking for live chat as I'm going through hearing difficulties at the moment so can't call (another *** in my life right now!).   I'll try again to look for that tomorrow.  Fingers crossed I will end up with the deal though.  Thanks

Thank you @63johnw, I was just looking around and found the live chat info under VIP help actually so I can see the message service opens again at 9am.  🙂
