Sky Go stuck on blue & white logo screen after "checking for updates"

Windows 10 (latest updates installed)

 

Uninstall Sky Go

Delete %appdata%\Sky & Sky Go

Reboot

Install Sky Go (22.6.2.0)

Run Sky Go

"Checking for updates..."

Blue screen with white Sky Go logo

... nothing else happens.  No login, no errors, nothing.

Nothing in the event logs

 

It has worked in the past.

I have not knowingly done anything to make it stop working.

I have the same problem as previous person stuck on blue and white screen saying its looking for updates but nothing happening this as not happened before when I watched various channels ??? I am stumped any answers please..Brian

Same problem!
Just sits on Checking for Update...

I would be nice if someone from SKY bothered to respond! 
God knows we pay enoiugh for their service!

I have the same problem.  Running on Windows 11.  I've tried unistalling and reinstalling. Problem is still there. The app is unusable. Can we have a fix please Sky?

At some point they updated the app, and that resolved my particular problem (with no other changes made my end.

 

It sounds like they need a bit more time in QA before releasing updates...
