My sky glass tracking only shows for 24 hours at the most, then I can go my my sky glass to to a puck in a different room and there is no tracking what so ever.
It's diabolical for a company the size of sky.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI feel your pain .... I remembered I was watching swat at some point last year ... when I loaded it up from the playlist it offered me season 1 episode 1 😂
inhad to read most of season 6 and half of season 7 episode synopsis to try and figure out where I was. Even then I watched half an episode before I realised I'd already seen it

I had a great example this evening of how the progress/watched markers should work. I Spotted something on Netflix which I thought looked good. I went to check the "episodes & more" to find out more about it and saw the watched markers from a couple of years ago and only then remembered I had seen it. I did however note that series 2 starts at the end of the month 😀

Hi Kev, I don't think your reply actually addresses the issue and the complaint that many users have with what is the key component of your streaming offering.
If every other streaming service retains your viewing history, do you not think this is a key requirement for your service. Your reply seemed to suggest that everyone else is wrong because they keep viewing history for an adequate period of time.
You and other so called sky experts suggest that you maintain the history of episodes viewed for longer than the place in an episode. Strangely no "expert" has actually said how long this is, I don't think this is actually the case as I believe all history disappears at the same time.
I have been raising this issue for at least 2 years and so have a number of other users, so not sure why you don't fall in line with other streaming services and what customers actually want and fix this issue with your offering. Problem is, you don't see it as an issue, you see it as a feature!!
In my previous post, I raised a number of issues with playlists and some Sky bright spark thought an adequate answer was 'episodes watched info is kept for longer than 4 weeks' . Is that the best you "experts" have to offer!
I would also like to know why when I ring up support to ask why my viewing history keeps disappearing, they don't know anything about the automatic deletion of viewing history. So frustrating, they don't even have glass in front of them, so they have no idea what I am talking about.
The resume watching rail is a complete red herring, it is no use if I want to go back after a few weeks to continue watching something I left off, by then it has fallen off the end of the rail. Pretty pointless if not idiotic to have this info stored for 1.5 years when I belive it only shows 15 programs. Who watches only 15 programs in 1.5 years. Someone is being a bit dim here, happy for someone to prove it is me!!
Offering and support so poor and frustrating.
At the moment, I will be switching to Virgin as soon as my Glass TV is paid off.

Hi
firstly I'm not affiliated with sky .... but I'll take the compliment of being a bright spark!
secondly I was pointing out that you may have misread the sky post. Tracking is kept on complete watched episodes for a lot longer than 30 days. It's partbwatched episodes that are only tracked for 30 days
thirdly if you read my other posts on this very thread you would see I actually agree with you and have suggested that the tracking time is increased exponentially as it is very frustrating
fourthly (if that's even a word!) even if the show drops off your continue watching rail you can still start where you left off from your main playlist and it will then repopulate on your CW rail. The continue watching rail is just a shortcut to the last few shows you have been watching.

Thanks for the reply, not sure why we are at odds, think Sky should get their act together, just wondering how we can achieve that.
So your fourthly point would be OK, apart from the fact they DO NOT keep episodes watched info for more than a few weeks in the playlist section.
Sorry, as a Superuser and the fact you mention Sky had said xxx, I assumed you had some affiliation with Sky.
I would like to get someone from Sky in a room and get some answers from them on why it is all so crap. Talking to Sky is like that phrase "p%##%g in the wind".
