Marketing for Rugby Sevens World Cup 2022 says matches in the Uk are being televised live over periiod 9-11 Sep 22 on Sky Sports. Current scheduling on the the tv guide\planner does not list any matches. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?. Noth the first time marketing would appear to be out of step

So I would have thought that indicates ITV have the rights, not Sky.

THanks..other info shoes ITV4 showing  recorded highlights late evening and that is shown in TV guide, but ITV HUb may well show live; will check at the time.  Marketing still says SKY tho.

Yes, weirdly confusing all round.

This site says

ITV will broadcast a highlights show of the action from each day on ITV4 at 11pm (BST) on Friday, September 9 then at 11:30pm on Saturday, September 10 and at 11pm on Sunday, September 11.

Very confusing. Doesn't look as if anything live is being shown, there is nothing whatsoever on ITV Hub (if you search for 'rugby', not even the 11pm highlights come up). A poor show.

Since I posted that link to the rwcsevens.com website above on Wednesday, the reference to ITV / ITV Hub (and S4C) against 'United Kingdom' has fallen off the list, so something strange appears to be going on on the background.

UK has been moved to be listed in the "Live stream will be available on the match centre in the territories listed below"  section, which to my mind indicates that there now isn't a 'partner' carrying the content here.
