Main Event is like a best of sports channels which covers multiple sports, to watch the full broadcast you need to be using the F1 channel at 406.

@Wibbly-Woo

Because 401 Main Event is showing Leicester City v Liverpool which would finish at about 6.20 / 6.25pm.

Sky Sportd Main Event is typically designed for people ( or businesses where they want a TV to show sports) that just want to be watching the top sports event at any given time, as most of the time it will just simulcast another sky sports channel.

Only on a few occasions each year ( like the last day of the PL season - where Sky show several matches which all kick off at the same time) will Sky Sports Main event broadcast something which isn't on the other sky sports channels

Re: "LIVE" GP sunday

@Wibbly-Woo I believe Main Event is a legacy channel that is required under OFCOM requirements to ensure Premier League coverage is available to all companies that offer pay TV. This is because BT TV only used to carry Sky Sports 1 & 2 and then Sky changed the channel line up and created Sky Sports Premier League etc and Main Event was created for when they had two games to broadcast and had to make both available because BT complained about the new channel lineup being anti-competitive.
