no sky news on sat

Hi

this not the usual problem  !!!

no sky news     - every  others  channels OK  -  " just news" --- both sky irland  channel 49 and uk channel48

this happened after the outage couple days ago now   and this news channel not come back

since then ??

done all resets /retunes / ,,

is sky news  V or H  ??    or top of  IF  band   or  and dish lost its 18v  to switch V/H  ???  to next band   ??

can not see just sky news only on Vert.

just about pass it to Currys as tv problem as a  G uaerntee  warranty    ( Got a internal sat decode)

but they not going believe that only 1 channel not work ,,

i thinking the hacker that did the outage did my telly software"in"

,, but update will not update cos it  thinks its allready up to date ,,

Emm  throw it at me

@abcdef12345  A hacker could not take down 1 satellite delivered channel affecting 1 sole customer, they would need to hack the satellite system to take it down and if they did succeed this community would literally be flooded with posts so much so I doubt the forum could not remain up and running.

Perhaps it's time to come back to the real world and put the conspiracy theories to bed and look at a more simple & logical explanation, perhaps the dish is slightly misaligned.

Both said channels use a Europe Widebeam transponder and any misaligned dish would show these issues more than the UK spot beams.

Time to get your dish checked.

@abcdef12345  Sky News HD is encrypted, Sky News SD isn't.

Re: no sky news on sat

Sky News UK moved transponders on July 24

You can do a manual tune using the following

Sky News  SD Channel It’s now available on 11934 V, Symbol Rate: 27500, FEC: 5/6

‐-----‐----------------‐-------------------------------------
Sky Glass 65 inch and 2 Sky Stream Pucks
Gigabit Siro 100% Fiber Broadband with Digiweb
1000 Mbps download and 200 Mbps upload speed
I only use wired ethernet with Sky Glass and Sky Stream Pucks
