Re: i have no sattelite signal
No signal or no satellite signal?. They are very different.
Is this on Sky+ or Sky Q?
(post temporarily moved to What's On as it isn't an issue connected to the Accessibility board).

Re: i have no sattelite signal
I think you need to post this HERE, 'What's On' covers programming and channels

That depends on whether the OP has Sky Q or Sky+. Once we know that we can move the post to the correct board. The advice is different depending on which TV platform they have.

Re: i have no sattelite signal
As you haven't updated us as to which platform you subscribe to here's the answer for both systems…
Sky Q
A message displaying ”no signal” tends to be generated from your TV and normally means your TV’s not seeing the Sky box on the relevant HDMI input.
If you’re seeing a “no satellite signal” message check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s very likely a dish misalignment or possibly a failing LNB (on the arm of the dish) so check the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.
If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise directly with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.
It’s worth noting that:
a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels
a Sky Q box requires a periodic 'Keep alive' signal that is delivered via the satellite so if that isn’t received the box will close down until the satellite signal is restored.

Sky+
Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD. You'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check/repair/replace it.
If you have Sky Protect insurance through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them but a recent post suggested they wouldn't send an engineer - but did offer the customer £65 towards arranging one themselves.
The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.
