Why the need for female commentators

Watching England v Pakistan T 20 - Why do we have to have female commentators on Sky Sports Cricket and others..... I just don't see the necessity other than ticking the woke box.

Why not get some great cricketers across the team that the viewers can relate to, this simply doesn't work!!!

Female commentators are going now where as this lady is very knowledgeable with her insights to both the male and female Pakistan teams so I for one am enjoying her contribution. Sky have been using females for a number of years now so this isn't nothing new.

Noted your nearly 170,000 posts - I've made less than 5!

maybe a "big brother" player here? not a veteran of over 20 years continuous subscription to SKY as I am - that's why I feel my input has value -

listen up SKY please.

SKY Commentators -,

As a very long standing SKY Sports customer, why can't we adopt the following -

If male only competitors, keep male only commentators

If female only competitors, keep female only commentators

Or,  for very limited mixed competitors, allow for mixed commentators.

Final alternative SKY is to provide the three options of commentators, as above, as options for the customers???

Ultimately, the customer experience should be the focus here.

If this was a big problem there would be more people on the forums commenting on the situation

As far as I have seen over time is a small minority on the forum have an issue 😞
