I have no idea what is prompting any such requests.
As paying for Disney + is the same through SKY as it is direct through Disney + I don't, personally, see any advantage in paying via SKY. If you pay via SKY you have to call to cancel whereas, paying direct via Disney+ you cancel online.
If you subscribe/pay direct to Disney + you can use the app on any device including SKY Q (although personally I use my TV or Firestick)

Do you already have a disney plus subscription?
Are you confusing disney plus with the the free offer of discovery plus

That sounds like you may have 'Sky Essentials', which is Freesat on a Sky Q box (plus broadband/phone). For app access on that hardware you would need to change to a 'Signature' subscription, for which £26 pcm is about right: Disney+ would be an additional cost to that.
