Re: Where has the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon gone?

This also happened around 2016, I emailed NSBC and they said it had been pulled from the UK.....but it came back.

I'll miss The Roots (and Tarique and Questloves seqmgents), new music and puppy races the most, but I was waneing off of Jimmy recently.

Sky still has Seth, Oliver,  Stewart & Co and SNL so I can still get my US Comedy Politics.

It's still a shame though to loose Jimmy

Last Week Tonight is likely to move exclusively to HBO Max

Previous seasons have dates of 31st December 2025 aswell.

Sky doesn't have The Tonight Show,, Comedy Central does.

You mean Daily Show, not Tonight Show? I know.

SNL should still stay with Sky, given Lorne is wanting to do a UK version (and when Oliver was on Seth, Seth asked if it would work and Oliver just went 'nope' and laughed. Fair play to Seth to ask that question given his closeness to Lorne over the years and knowing what Oliver's answer would be).

I think Oliver will stay, the only reason we had Cordon for years was because he was British. He left and we haven't had the new Late Late Show, nor have we ever had Colbert et Co. Seth should stay too as his show isn't on Comedy but a news channel.

although I have noticed that when Himmy left Comedy, Seth moved from nightly to all episodes over the weekend......which doesn't make sense.

We'll see

If so, Last week tonight creates a dilemma.

1. If sky continue rights until hbo max launches, then they are midseason (or 20% season for literal folk) when they go hbo max exclusive

2. If hbo max launches in April and sky don't have it, then viewers miss the first 6 episodes. For a topical satire on current affairs, this can be very dissatisfying for the audience (by audience, I mean me)

I hope that the statement from sky in December 2024 applies to Last Week Tonight

  • Existing franchises and their future series will continue on Sky Atlantic for Sky customers, with pay 1 movies to be shown on Sky Cinema

Re: Where has the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon gone?

Doesn't reference Sky Comedy and Sky Documentaries though, only few on Sky Atlantic which aren't exclusive anyway.

There is show links for newer HBO series on Sky Atlantic and Sky Comedy on Sky.com that mention continuity of series at no extra cost via HBO Max app but nothing for Last Week Tonight

I know in Australia, Binge still have the rights to current season only that started in February even though HBO Max launched in Australia on 31st March
