I've seen an article from Tellymix about the game show Nobody's Fool (with Danny Dyer and Emily Atack), comparing it to Traitors.
Has anyone seen the show, and would you recommend it?
@KevNewMedia Nearly all of these types of shows lately are based on The Taitors in some way or another. We watched 1 episode of Nobody's Fool & gave up. Which is exactly what happened when we gave The Neighbourhood a go. Make of that what you will. Maybe someone who stuck with it will tell you differently.

Another series we have on the go at the moment is Detectorists with Mackenzie Crook & Toby Jones. I know we're a bit late to this one. We decided to give it a go after watching Mackenzie's newer series, Small Prophets. We finished S1 last night. It's a very enjoyable show, nice, gentle comedy with good rapport between the two leads. The rest of the cast is great, too.
We're watching it on Disney+. I find this a bit odd as D+ did a deal with ITV to show some of their content, but this is a BBC show.

Haha I know exactly what you mean! 24 Hours in A&E is so addictive. I was never great at biology either, but you actually end up learning loads just by watching it. Even if some of it is a bit gruesome at times 😅

Detectorists is soooooo good! We watched it all on Disney+ too a few months back. Be aware though that the feature length final episode is only available on iPlayer, so once you finish the third series, switch to iPlayer for the 2022 Special which rounds everything off beautifully.

Re: What's your 'must watch' shows? 📺
Did do a bit of a long binge watch of The Boroughs last night.
Enjoyed it a lot. Great kind of unique idea done so well, good characters and love the setting.
Also, while waiting for some deliveries today and the rained off cricket spells, revisited The Nevers from scratch again. One of those series that you can rewatch again and find or learn things you never saw in the first viewing.
For me I enjoyed it the first time, despite some harder reviews of it.

@Angel_Aka You took the words right out of my post. I was going to mention what you wrote about iPlayer today. I only found out there was an extra episode after reading an online article about the show. I then realised it wasn't on D+ & had to search around for it, not for too long though, as I figured iPlayer would be the first place to look. Thanks for the heads-up anyway. Might be useful for others.

@lettice Re: The Boroughs. We're still enjoying it. Great to see Geena Davis again, I've always liked her. Hard to believe she is 70 years old. No word from Netflix yet about a second season, but the creators have ideas for a 3-season arc, so here's hoping.

Re: What's your 'must watch' shows? 📺
Just noticed on ITVx that a Gerry Anderson series has appeared.
Space Precinct.
I remember watching this in the 1990s on Sky One.
Not sure I've seen on other channels rebooted recently.
It maybe seem dated a bit now, but I do remember really liking it and of course how can you fault anything by Gerry Anderson 😀

I am a big Gerry Anderson Fan & enjoyed Space Precinct when 1st aired and had a DVD with just a few episodes on, so I actually splashed out last year when they released all episodes on blu-ray .
As much as I like Space Precinct I actually found this to be the one to show its age the most of the live action series & often felt the budget showed for any action outside the Space precinct & Brogan's apartment & I felt several scipts quite weak.
I found I could only re-watch Space Precint in small doses & not binge watch that I can with other Anderson productions
My favourite of his live action (possibly of all of his productions) is UFO , which only had the one series due to the lack of interest from the USA, that I vividly remember from when it aired in 1970 - I think is the impression it made on me then as a teenager that still leaves it high in my rating
The Outfits & purple hair used for Moonbase, not to mention the amount of smoking definitely date UFO in that respect even though other aspects still hold (apart from being set in the future of 1980!)
Although we do have remember UFO was created in the late 60s & aired in 1970.
Despite some dated outfits the series had several strong female characters - especially for the time it was produced & in the BTS interviews the actors have great respect for Gerry Anderson & the input from his wife Sylvia (who also created the outfits)
I have actually just finished binge watching both UFO and both series of Space 1999 again that I also have on blu-ray - fortunately the blu-ray have them all in the correct 1:33 ratio (with black bars at the sides) without being cropped top & bottom that Space 1999 is on ITVX - Being originally produced on film the Blu-rays are amazing quality - although ITVX is not way behind
Binge watching Space 1999 made me realise what a change there was between S1 & S2 & the lower budget (& possibly the split of the Andersons meaning Sylvia was not involved in S2) really shows
UFO & Space 1999 S1 & S2 (as mentioned above copped for 16:9) as well as the 'puppet' series are on ITVX

I was a fan of Captain Scarlet when I was little ( as well as Thunderbirds, of course, weren't we all? ). Something I remember finding out quite a long time ago, before the internet, is that I share the same birthdate as CS, 17th December. Although the year he was born is very different from mine, 2036. Still, something to celebrate if I can hang around for another decade.

When I saw the post @Mr+Ripley @lettice I thought (foolishly) that Space Precinct was a mis type.
That one passed me by, the one I remember was Space Patrol
