@SpaceSparkie Re: Grey's Anatomy. I would say at this point in time it would be a bit difficult to get started on it, especially if time is an issue. There are currently 21 seasons available on D+, and S22 is starting soon. With there being over 20 episodes per season, that is a lot of episodes. It is a good show & there must be a reason why it's still going strong. It doesn't get stale as the cast keeps changing whenever new interns arrive. So it really comes down to how much time you have.
I have far too much time on my hands as I did manage to binge watch Grey's anatomy from the start earlier this year - actually I started in later seasons as I was watching Station 19 & noticed the cross over of characters, before then going back to the start
It did take a lot of time !
Like I guess other long running shows, having stated in later episodes it was interesting to jum p back and see how the characters stories evolved.
I found a lot of the writing (in particular) and acting superb, some of the shows genuinely had me it tears - I though the treatment of the Pandemic years being particularly poignant (For those who know the show this included the key De Luca storyline - I found it was very interesting to see how Station 19 & Grey's Anatomy cross over here, really added to fill this storyline in)
It is not afraid to cover some controversial subjects.
At other times I found there is a wonderful light hearted humour & getting to know the characters from the start causes you to appreciate this, which you might miss without the back stories
(One episode in the earlier years that particulary sticks in my memory of the humour was one where a visiting Cosultant only wanted to work with the Doctor they called 'the N_a_z_i' (underlines added due to naughty word filter - I am sure the CMs won't mind it's use here) not knowing who that was with a closing scene revealing to him who that was)
Personally, I have not enjoyed the last couple of seasons as much

Morning All
I see that the Iris Affair launches today and wondered if anyone will be watching it?
What’s it about?
From the creator of Luther, this sun-drenched thriller follows Iris, an enigmatic genius who, armed with her lethal intelligence, steals the clues to a world-changing code from a charismatic businessman. What follows is a high-stakes chase across Italy, as she races to unlock the code’s secrets before he catches up with her. Here's the trailer for it.

I'll certainly give it an episode or two to see what it is like.

Hmm. It looks a bit too daft and OTT for my taste. It reeks of one of those expensive, glossy European-set thrillers where the scenery is used to detract from a poor, overly convoluted plot.
Nothing since Day of the Jackal has really nailed it well. The Assassin on Prime Video was another which was beautifully shot, but entirely devoid of anything remotely resembling entertainment value.

Fair enough @BenJoBanjo Day of the Jackal was excellent, and it's clearly doing well internationally. I've not read the books, so can't pass any comment on books vs show. Series 2 should be cracking!

Yeah, Eddie Redmayne was perfect casting - really surprising in some ways, but he pulled it off brilliantly. Really looking forward to series 2 - hopefully it'll keep the same standard of writing and drama.

Re: What's your must watch shows? 📺
First time I've heard of this tv series, having seen this mention here and the promo video showing a short backstory video on the Sky Stream home menu this morning.
From that backstory and the trailer it looks like a good watch.
Will certainly give it a watch

Funny I thought @lettice that the promo video was 1 minute of trailer and 7 minutes of adverts.

Re: What's your must watch shows? 📺
Have over last few days watched the first four episodes of Iris Affair.
It was a fair watch and will watch the next four episodes when they arrive.
Did find the scripted dialogue quite a miss at times for the main two characters.
Felt sometimes, that they did not quite gel for me as correct character trites for them.
Otherwise, the action and plot kept me engaged to watch further.

Re: What's your must watch shows? 📺
One Sky Witness series I have been enjoying is Doc.
Not always a fan of medical drama series, with exceptions like The Good Doctor.
Each episode of Doc so far has been great and am looking forward to further episodes each week.
The plot is played out well, easy to follow and the characters are all very believable, all with their own back stories in the Doc different timeframes for the event story.

Re: What's your must watch shows? 📺
Hi @lettice we have watched the first 2 episodes of Doc and also find it a good watch. I see the series has 22 episodes so we have decided to wait for a few more episodes to be broadcast before watching any more..
We haven't started watching the Iris Affair yet but it's in the playlist.
