I'm in the same boat, upgraded to TNT but nothing available on discovery plus despite both the email and my sky account showing both are active. 
waited over the 24hours as stated (although on skys site it says up to 6 hours to update) and still nothing.

quite frustrating because the reason for updating was for MotoGP and the season has already started and unable to watch previous content!

sort it out sky / discovery plus!!

im in the same boat I can getTNT on my sky box but not on my computer where I want to watch it.  Discovery just tells me to upgrade and apps dont seem avialbale on sky go so stuck inbetween on the going to cancel if I miss this weekends moto GP + World Superbikes. Not right having paid £40/month

How long ago did you upgrade to TNT again? 

I left it about 2 weeks with having the same issue and then rang sky, they confirmed that I had upgraded. They resent the confirmation and I did a live chat with discovery plus who initially tried to say I didn't have an account and asked for other email addresses connected with the account. After sending them the confirmation of the upgrade they reinstated the account. 

I don't know if your like me, but I only pay for it during MotoGP season and I think that seems to mess with the accounts but I am now sorted. 

ring sky / do a live chat with discovery plus providing you have waited the 48hrs to connect the two platforms together

I upgraded to TNT Sports in mid-February.  We are just about to enter April but still cannot access any sports on the Discovery+ app.  The customer service from Sky is appalling, they just have no interest.  When I do get an occasional email from them it's to say my complaint has been resolved - when it obviously hasn't.  Every email has a different reference - absolutely nothing is linked.  If you do manage to speak to someone who sounds like they know what they're doing they tell you to wait 72 hours and all will be sorted.  Just continuous lies to fob people off.  6 weeks and counting.  But at least I can now go to the Ombudsman... and hopefully get some money back on my TNT contract (Virgin charge £19 without Discovery+, so I'm expecting at least that).  The whole thing is just a shambles.

TNT/Discovery are a shambles. I took out a contract directly and had this same problem. When I went to try to watch something it said I had to upgrade to TNT Sports.! That was the only reason I had it. It certainly wasn't for the non-stop "reality" tv.  There's nobody you can talk to and they don't care once they have your money.

 

They then admitted they had mis-sold me the package as they weren't actually showing the sport they had advertised and agreed to cancel.  Have I seen my money back ?  I think you can guess the answer. Never again !

Has anyone had any luck with getting this fixed? I'm currently waiting on a call today from 'the back office team'??? Apparently they were taking over the complaint and a fix would take a few days..... however, it's still not working! 
im expecting more **bleep** and nonsense from them today (if they do even call)

I wouldn't hold your breath for a phone call.  I have one schedule tomorrow at 3pm I am told, because I have asked for the complaint to be escalated to the highest tier.  I have asked for monetary compensation for the lack of service and for this to be resolved asap.  It's not just the lack of Discovery + but also the time I have wasted trying to resolve this matter.  I must have spoken to 20+ people in the last 7 weeks, all assuring me very nicely they'd sort it out.  Suffice to say it still isn't sorted.

I changed my TNT subscription from BT to sky last September. Tried to watch rugby last Friday through Discovery + no luck. Several phone calls later to tech & app teams I'm advised that they may have mine sorted by next Friday. I found the email that I had been sent last September confirming I had access to Discovery + Premium. As it had never been linked they are refunding me £10 for each of the 9 months I've not had it. I ended up going through the retention team

Helen, did you ever get this sorted? I had the same problem months ago. I moved my TNT subscription from BT to sky. When I looked on the MySky app The TNT subscription was still setting at standard and not premium. I spoke to 6 different advisors who were all clueless Most of whom blame discovery. Finally, the only way it was resolved was to remove TNT Sports from my subscription for 24 hours and then add it back on again. This worked like black magic. It made TNT subscription flip from standard to premium and I was able to watch all the TNT channels on the discovery+ app after that. Hope this helps.

No.  The problem is not yet sorted.  Sky have finally admitted that there is an issue that's affecting a large number of customers.  I took this matter up with the top tier complaints team and they contact me every 2-3 weeks to confirm they are still investigating - at least they're keeping me informed and aren't ignoring me.

Sorry to hear that. Well that solution definitely worked for me. Remove TNT port from your sky package for 24 hours and then add it back on. Good luck.

It's a total farce! 
The buck keeps getting passed from Sky to Discovery, and then back again... Discovery tell me they can't change the subscription, and that's something Sky have to do... Sky then tell me that they have no access to change the subscription!!

Discovery gave me a free month of premium, which has now been extended to 6 months while they 'investigate'... If they can do that, then surely they can permanently change the detail to premium??

  • I had all the aforementioned problems and eventually emailed Sky to say that I had no option but to refer the matter to the Ombudsman. That elicited a pretty quick response from Sky.

I had subscribed initially to Discovery+Premium, specifically to get TNT Sports for rubgy, cancelled that and subscribed to TNT Sports through Sky. That's when I started having problems viewing the Discovery+ streaming service and was unable to do so. Sky advised that as far as they were concerned, my Sky account showed no link to Discovery. After discussion I decided I'd cancel Discovery account completely (around 9th May) and Sky said they'd contact me again on 9th June to try and reestablish the link. Incidentally, Discovery advised that it would take up to 30 days to cancel my account - why so long?

The whole thing is a shambles!

I am having the same issues it's so frustrating - spoke to 3 different people from Sky and got 3 different explanations - the first one even suggested that I'm not entitled to Discovery+ Premium with my TNT Sports package...

 

Is there an easy email address to submit a complaint?
