Thought I would watch Uncharted tonight but now disappointed ☹️ the movie has no Dolby Atmos or Dolby digital plus audio🤔 Movie sounds dull which is a shame as the is UHD HDR..... come on Sky the two go hand in hand for a quality viewing 🥊

Without in-ceiling speakers for the height channels, I've never really understood why people rave about Atmos. For the most part, 5.1 is more than enough for most people.

I personally don't think many people will notice much difference between a 5.1 mix and Atmos - especially with TV or even Sound bars.
With separate speakers in particular, there is one extra thing that Atmos (and DTS-X from other sources) can give, which is more precice positioning.
It can be quite subtle but can lead to more expansive sound stage - I do have a 7.1.2 seperate speaker set up so do notice it but I did notice the subtle difference before installing my overheads
Of course it does all depend on how well it is mixed
BTW an Atmos mix that you might initially think why use for such a film, I thought was wonderful was to the Secret Garden, where the ambient sounds (e.g. bird song) were used very effectively throughout the sound stage - demonstrating that Atmos isn't just suitable for Action films etc.
