Thinking about adding Sky TV to my my Sky Broadband.
At present my LG Tv gets Freeview-aerial and Freesat-dish.
I use the Freesat-dish because it has more HD transmissions.
It seems difficult to read just what Sky have in the Essentials package, it seems to be like Freeview plus Netflix.
Question is what picture quaulity is it? Do not want to subcribe and find it has no HD or even less than I have on Freesat.
Do not want to make a move and find out was a bad move and have 24 months to repent.
I could just add direct with Netflix at £6 a month rolling contract.
Advice please.

'Essential TV' on Glass and Stream is free to air channels, Sky Atlantic, Netflix Standard with Adverts and Discovery+ Basic. It's not available on the legacy satellite platforms.
Really important to be aware that 'Television Essentials' on Sky Q is entirely different: that's the Freesat channels and recording / playback only, with no Netflix or Sky Atlantic.
The poorly chosen name of the newer product has caused significant confusion.

Re: Thinking about adding Sky TV to my my Sky Broadband.
Have a read of the Sky Stream FAQ here, namely the TV package and TV channels section, that details more about the Essential TV package on Sky Stream.
The pq on Sky Stream is excellent and offers a noticeable uplift in pq to Sky Q (or freesat via dish).
The essentials TV package offers the same picture quality on Sky Stream as the Ultimate pack.
If you have a Sky shop or a Currys near you, go and have a look to view and compare.
