  • Cash in the Attic – BBC One / Channel 5
  • Blankety Blank (original) – BBC One / ITV1
  • Pointless – BBC Two / BBC One
  • The Weakest Link (original) – BBC Two / BBC One
  • Sign2Win – BSL Zone
  • Scrapheap Challenge – Channel 4

  • All Star Family Fortunes – ITV1
  • Bruce's Price is Right – ITV1
  • Bullseye (original) – ITV1
  • Cash Trapped – ITV1
  • Catchphrase (original and revival) – ITV1
  • The Chase – ITV1
  • Classic Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (original) – ITV1
  • The Cube – ITV1
  • Dale's Supermarket Sweep (original) – ITV1
  • Dickinson's Real Deal – ITV1
  • Family Fortunes (original, except Series 1, 2, 3, 4 & 22) – ITV1
  • In for a Penny – ITV1

  • Play Your Cards Right – ITV1
  • Strike it Lucky! – ITV1
  • Talking Telephone Numbers – ITV1
  • Tenable – ITV1
  • Tipping Point – ITV
  • Wheel of Fortune (original) – ITV1

  • Through the Keyhole (original) – ITV1 / Sky One / BBC One / BBC Two

There are a lot of ITV1 shows currently broadcast on Challenge. When ITV Quiz launches in June, what will happen to Challenge? Will ITV not renew their contract with Sky for the above shows, as they'll be broadcast on ITV Quiz instead? Is Challenge basically dead?

Re: The end of Challenge replaced by ITV Quiz?

Challenge has never really fitted the Sky portfolio since they got it from Virgin imo

I don't think Challenge has the rights to Pointless anymore, It showed up on the non nature channel Eden a few months ago

I know ITV don't own the rights Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, it's distributed by Sony

It won't necessarily affect Challenge. If ITV can make extra money selling their shows to another broadcaster they will continue to do that. With The Chase there are 18 series and over 2500 episodes. It may be that Challenge will keep the rights to the older ones  and ITV Quiz will have more recent series. Quiz show repeats are not expensive premium quality programmes that broadcasters want exclusive rights to.

Of course not, but I want to get a gist of what people think.

I think Itv and Sky/Universal will do whatever they feel will be most profitable

Bargain Hunt is also getting repeated on non nature channel Eden from 6th May, so would suggest BBC Studios do have the rights to it aswell
