I and my friends are very disappointed in the Monte Carlo tennis coverage on the Sky tennis channel
We have all said that we cannot see the ball when in play due to the angle of the camera -it's too far away and too high up so the ball merges with the red court.
Surely we're not the only ones who have commented on this.?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Lynne+SH Sky are taking the world feed and have no control over where camera positions are

We have the exact same problem, quite disappointing indeed

Indeed. Extraordinary in 2024 that we have put up with this.

Well I just watched Boulter and Raducanu win their BJK singles matches against France to qualify for the finals in November on BBC website and what a joy it was apart from the commentator who as usual talked absolute nonsense throughout both days. How we were classed as underdogs was ridiculous apart from the fact it was played on clay Boulter and Raducanu can beat anyone on their day which was proved.Yes Garcia was injured but then she blew her match yesterday and well done to the girls and the celebrations will go on well in to the night.Lets hope Raducanu can stay fit and climb the rankings because she has so much talent and should certainly be back to the Number 1 Uk player sooner rather then later.Well done to the all team.

I have the same problem being unable to see the ball thru the points in the tennis at Monte Carlo. The ball disappears once the tennis player has served and reappears when it has landed and even then not always. There is a technical problem. Please attend to it before the Monte Carlo final today!!

They don't seem to have cured the vanishing balls at Monte Carlo.. Amateurish and shows disregard for tennis fans .

I am watching on +HD and have no issues seeing the balls so not really sure what you mean.

Yeah I'm not sure about the vanishing ball comments either but I must admit it's a horrible feed. Too much edge sharpening and contrasty. Example is the thin black lines around the white lines on court. Again though that's probably how sky are receiving it.

I can't speak for this particular tournament but yes I've seen the ball disappearing phenomenon, particularly during the US wta tournaments recently.
And yes I think it's more related to the comment above that the picture quality in general seems poor and sometimes suffers more with the sun hitting the court at a certain angle.
