I’m a UK viewer and have previously watched the WTA coverage on Amazon Prime and on Discovery Plus / EuroSports for the Australian Open.
The 1st 2 weeks of Sky Sports tennis coverage (early Jan 2024) was massively reduced, with only one game to watch at a time. Hoping this will improve now that the Australian Open is finished.
I understand Sky Sports will cover 500s, 1000s and slams.

Hi, certainly agree with this.
Hopefully things will be improved after the Australian Open. the @PrimeVideo coverage was excellent in my opinion, various games from various tournaments at the same time.

I'd imagine that the USTA choosing to accept a really large sum of money helped: 'deserve' isn't really an applicable concept when selling television rights to major sports events.

How do people not understand by now that sports rights is all about the money and all sports will usually take the highest money offer. Also not having multiple companeis bidding on rights doesn't exactly help either, its either take the deal or have no broadcasting of events.

To be honest I gave up on Sky after the first few days and even took the tennis off of series link. Thank goodness for Discovery +' hats off to them their coverage was top notch!

Has anyone at Sky sports noticed Andy Murray is playing in Montpelier. His first round match is this evening at (not before) 7pm.
I find it hard to believe Sky won't show that match - but you never can be certain with Sky Sports.

@Trips+out How are you finding out what tennis is on please? Short of sifting through the sky guide? thanks

I am so disappointed with sky sports wish I had never signed up but I have been able to watch Discoveryplus and tennis tv but it's not the same as not all courts are covered. Please come back Prime you were amazing.

But almost certainly costing Amazon a very large amount to be so (and those prosthetic Hobbit ears aren't cheap)
