Let's get this right now... I am talking about the STANDARD sky tv service.... I am tired of hearing this on-demand excuse.... People pay for the standard service right? So what are they getting... ??
I understand the frustration. People who are used to how the linear channels work, may be reluctant in how how technology has changed and viewing habits have.
By excluding the on demand, you may not be getting the full value for money
I assume Sky have data on what people have been watching. They can probably see the 235th transmission this year of one of the Mission Impossible probably does better than one of the rare transmissions of one of the many hidden gems in the sky cinema on demand content. This is just what people want to watch more.
Most of what I watch is either recordings or streaming, linear for me is mostly sport, the simpsons, and for some reason bought in content on the irish station TG4 (hacks, call my agent)

Re: Sky tv - Never ever anything on
I see they've now deleted their account, but the argument that "if you ignore the thousands of hours worth of content available On Demand there's not much choice" is up there with the best of them!

Even the actual sky owed channels????? What on 7 days a week. Apart from repeats and adverts! What else is on? Anyone like to prove me wrong? Work away... Show or tell me different, please work away????????????
There are no longer separate subscriptions for OTA channels and ondemand ... so ondemand is integral part of the standard service ... most of first run programmes are not run exclusive of each other😉
