Sky’s Disastrous US Open Tennis Coverage

The whole situation is a disaster. The coverage of Wimbledon on BBC was pretty much the same. Live feeds from courts but no match replays and yes you could scroll through the prior coverage if it happened to include the match you wanted, but pretty tiresome, at least no ads though.

I'm totally despondent about it all now to the point where I don't even care about watching the tennis. If i can't watch what I want, what's the point?

Complete agree, very disappointing.  Replay of individual matches needs to be available, I don't really feel like I'm able to follow my favourite players in this tournament at all.

Sound and picture quality is also not up standard.

also the taylor townsend match had no sound,ruining and excellent match..as an avid tennis fan its dousing my enthusiasm for the game..no access to recently ended matches is totally dismissive of people living in a different time zones..going forward do we need to explore other options such as eurosport europe or espn..is it even possible..as for sky it continues to dig a deeper hole and remain obstinate as to customers pleadings

Typically providers are obliged to attempt to prevent viewing by those outside the licenced region: this is a stipulation by event owners to preserve 'exclusivity' and so maintain high prices for the sale of country-by-country broadcast rights.

I tried to watch the Eubanks match - absolutely no sound at all, as you say!  I can live without commentary but not absolute silence.  Sooooo bad!

Agree with all the posts in this thread sky's coverage has been much inferior to other platforms such as amazon prime, eurosport and even the BBC. Its also much more expensive. Despite this we still have to endure advertising.  

Needless to say I will not be continuing my subscription after the tournament is over. I will be actively looking for alternatives for next year.

yes am aware of the exclusivity deal..but we are being left with no alternative if sky continue like this and ignore the voices of tennis fans..At the moment sky are dictating what coverage we should be happy with and if you can't stay up all night due to work commitments or school runs then tough luck..this despite Amazon changing the game forever,espn and eurosport not far behind..ireland and uk are now relgated to a tennis backwater by a major sports outlet..we will have to rise

I totally agree on every point. Against my better judgment, I just the purchased the Sky Tennis  package through Virgin. I am now trying to cancel it.   I am amazed at the very poor coverage. On top of that I had to pay extra for HD and the picture quality was awful. I could find no redeeming features.

(removed) I have tried watching the sky tennis channel and I can't bear all the adverts so I'm watching the live feeds, sadly I have to choose the one to watch as no catch up.

Also complain to viewerR@sky.uk and I'll be emailing ATP and WTA if this is the shoddy coverage we can expect from now on 😡

All channels on smart phone but cant smart view to tv

2 channels on sky go app windows 11 pc - the sports app is empty

Just got home satellite not even updated my subscription. Cant see anything

Totally Agree. 
Plus 3 commentators competing with each other by talking over the action and ruining the wozniaki - gauff game. 
will miss Amazon next season.

also commentary very poor.  I cant understand what marion Bartoli is

saying,  and sadly she has a lot to say.

I wonder if anyone from sky is even interested in this feedback.

Agree! Also, you cannot watch all the matches streaming - you must have an app on the TV. What's the point of this streaming service then? Also, it is not showing night matches! The TV app only shows court names, not who is playing- Sky is so behind with their solutions. The quality of the image is awful. Amazon Prime coverage was so much better last year. Please give them the rights back next year! Don't ruin it for the tennis fans!
