Tried to speak to any sales team about this but I cannot find any number for a sales person.
I am coming out of contract with BT and am looking at Sky for TV only and get broadband from a local fibre company. Sky broadband in my postcode was useless as I have had it before. So if I opt for TV only what do I get included?
Do I get the box to record TV etc and can i plug different broadband into the box?
If not how does it work?

Sky Q is connected to the internet so you can access some additional services, e.g apps like Netflix or downloading on-demand content to the box. The main service e.g the TV channels are not delivered via the internet, they are delivered via satelliete

Re: Sky TV Page ONLY with Broadband from different provider
Sky tv doesn't depend on Sky Broadband. You can use any ISP.
Sky currently market two types of tv systems: Sky Q is a set top box, satellite based service served by your own satellite dish. Sky Q allows local recording.
Sky Stream is a streaming service (surprise!) provided by a small set top box, reliant on a fast, and importantly stable Internet connection. There's no local recording facility. Everything is streamed.
Details and Information about the subscription packages is available via sky.com.

Re: Sky TV Page ONLY with Broadband from different provider
Hmmm.
So if I want to use my own local fibre BB and subscribe to Sky TV, my only option if I want a box to record live TV and shows is to buy the set top box myself? Does anyone else do this and if so, what box do you recommend?

If you want to be able to locally record shows of off Sky TV your only option is the satellite based Sky Q service.
As others have pointed out Sky Stream is the streaming service, which does allow for on-demand viewing of content from TV channels, but they aren't permanent recordings and would be removed based on broadcast rights.

You just need to order Sky Q for a TV service with a set-top box which records. You can order online here:
This service requires the installation of a satellite dish and cabling to receive the service. An engineer will attend and bring the Sky Q box with them, install and test everything. You can then watch live TV, set recordings and play back those recordings whenever you like from the hard drive in the Sky Q box.
You can also connect the Q box to your BB provider (doesn't matter who it is) in order to access the streaming apps provided on the Q box (Netflix, iPlayer, Prime Video, etc.) and for downloading on demand content to the hard drive. You can connect via WiFi or ethernet to your router.
