looks like I shall have to cancel my subscription
What Sky TV service do you have? @Neil18354

@Andrew8476 wrote:Up to now I'm very disappointed with the new channel as there is no option to record Super League games now. Why isn't the pause/rewind available for these matches? I pay a fortune to Sky each month and have done for 25+ years and now feel like I'm getting less for my money.
Rewinding the stream is working on my Sky Stream puck.

Something to note though particularly if you rewind live streams and watch delayed. Once the stream ends its being removed from the app and you are seemingly just cut off from wherever you were watching. Which kind of makes the ability to pause or rewind kind of pointless unless you plain on watching delayed coverage and aren't falling about 45-60 minutes behind the live coverage.

Very valid point. It's a bit pointless as you say
I know it's new, but the difference between a game in streaming vs the main game on UHD or HD is huge. Hopefully Sky will learn pretty quickly that the streaming quality is way lower and will need to be improved

Some obvious omissions on the iOS app.
No ability to switch between games from the games itself. Discovery+/BT Sport does this well with champions league games.
Unable to minimise the game and still watch in smaller screen whilst using other apps.

Valid points @Ben1980

38 second delay at my end - Pompey penalty scored alert popped up whilst Leeds still debating with ref.
Must remember to turn alerts off!

That really annoyed me because I put the Saints match to record & when I got home & tried to watch it, the recording had failed. And this after we had phoned to check if our subscription was ok for rugby league & was told yes.

When you say the difference is huge, I presume you're referring to fewer cameras etc.?
In case you're not aware, Sky don't have anything to do with the matches broadcast via Sky Sports+ in terms of anything relating to production; they just take the feeds that are produced elsewhere and shared with international broadcasters and overseas iFollow subscribers.
Of the 1,059 matches broadcast by Sky, they're only producing 193 of them in-house. The remaining 866 matches will all have fewer cameras and lower overall production so it's something that you'll need to adjust to. The cost of fully producing 1,059 matches in-house would make the contract far too expensive.
On the flip side, former iFollow subscribers tend to have the opposite opinion as it's a definite step up in quality from what came before.

No I am referring to the quality of the sound and the pictures. No way as good as the normal HD or UHD Sky sports. I think what you are saying is that the matches on Sky sports plus are not Sky's cameras etc?
Just been watching the golf on the various different options, and the quality was excellent, compared to the football
As I am neurodivergent I can spot even the smallest issues but it's a new item and will take time to get to the quality that I am sure Sky will be aiming for

@Super+Anthony
That's exactly it, Sky don't have any of their own cameras at any of the extra games; they're just taking the feeds (picture, on-screen graphics etc) produced for them and international audiences.
Sky are in control of selecting the 'extra' matches to move timeslots for Sky Sports+ but the cameras, production etc are being done by a third party.

Understood now, very helpful @d2h is that the same with the golf?

@Super+Anthony
It is the same for the golf. Sky overlay their own graphics onto the world feed pictures, in addition to providing their own commentary and presentation teams.
As chance would have it, all European Tour events are produced for worldwide distribution (including to Sky) by the same third party company that is producing the extra EFL matches.

Ok, but there is a difference in the quality of the picture between the football games vs the golf. Golf looks a much better standard.
