Wasn't that match broadcast on the linear sky sports + channel as opposed to the extra streams?

If so that would likely be the difference as they have never tended to have full replays of content on bonus streams only that originally broadcast on one of the linear Sky Sports channels.

You really aren't going to get the full bells and whistle full in-depth coverage for games put on the extra streams.

You would expect only the games being broadcast of the linear Sky Sports channels to have the full indepth coverage with presentators, analysis, build up etc.

Forgot to say, since 8 PM tonight, the game has frozen 4 times, broken up the picture at least twice, and stopped with black screen - TECHNICAL ERROR.

Looks like help desk closed now!

Earlier after first error code, the help chappie "reset" the viewing card and said it would be fine in 10 minutes.  But I saw NO change in menus, handset red button still didn't do anything, no catch-up menu on top-left of screen or menu etc. so guess fodded off again ( like yesterday when help desk guy said change download preference to SD, shut down, start up and change back to HD and all will work! - what a load of rubbish! ).

SO just goes from bad to worse!!

Yes but weren't those games essentially split across the weekend and broadcast on the linear TV channels. Additional internet based streams aren't going to get the same viewership as content broadcast on one of the Sky Sports TV channels and therefore typically its not cost effective to have the full bells and whistle approach for all the sporting content being provided on the additional streams. 

I would expect most sports like football and rugby etc to change commentary available on every game, but for things like additional tennis match streams etc, its likely to just be the action with no commentary.

Despite my doubts and reservations, the games on the SS+ App are only 10 seconds behind realtime.

Maybe different when there are far more running consecutively eg tomoro.

That was an embarrassing failure of Sky streaming ... ( I am on BT/EE 900 mbit full fibre broadband so speed not an issue! ) with the frequent freezes, several picture breakups / pixelation, and the 2 technical errors as above.  Not had that on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Discovery+ via Sky Q box streaming, so not my box, viewing card, broadband...

Can you / the team now tell me how I watch the 2nd game that was on at 20:00 tonight - I watched the Huddersfield vs Cataln rugby super league game, now want to watch the Hull KR game that was on at the same time.

( I could record the second game in this situation last week, before this retrograde Sports + downgrade ) 

The games show up in the settings / sport / rugby league menu but point to sports + where they DO NOT EXIST ( just Sundays games ).  And nothing on the normal catch up menu.

AND no sign of a catch up menu for the sports + app / channel 412.

Please look into this and find a solution for me and the countless others who will no doubt be complaining to Sky about this lesser service...

Yup but the difference is still they were broadcast on the actually TV channels and not put on additional online streams.

FYI - I'm not a rugby fan but I can see how incredibly stupid the TV scheduling of tonights games where. At the very least I would have thought one of the games could be on a linear TV channel, giving you the ability to record it, so you could watch at least one game on the additional stream live and then watch the other game that was recorded. Still not the same as you may have had previously but certainly not as bad as it was this evening.

I'd suggest sending all your feedback over to the Viewer Relations Team via viewerR@sky.uk.

The more people that send in feedback, the greater the likelihood that Sky will actually do something about it.

Good idea mark - feedback to that team too.

Sky are putting 2 games on linear - the one last night as mentioned and Wigan tomorrow, but as only the one game on at a time not a problem!

But what about if I am not in when game is streamed live ?  It will be gone forever at the moment / current system offering! 

The Rugby was just a quick example of the future issues likely, while we do watch rugby league😁, and how the provision of the games has been reduced by moving from the linear channels ( sports 1, 2, mix, action etc. ) they used to be on to this limited streaming "service".  

I wonder what they will put on those channels instead?

It will likely be worse for football fans, tennis fans in a tournament, and more where many games are played simultaneously!

Have you / anyone found this catch up menu for Sports + that 3 help desk people told meshould be at top left of the app screen?

If there IS the fabled catch up menu for recent games that will nearly shiut me up!!  Can watch later at my leisure.

There are around 16 US Open courts in play at any one time.

At peak periods, there would be  ~30 streams in use (the EFL Cup first round will be heaviest demand but that doesn't clash with the tennis). Using a scenario it did clash, including the rugby, total streams would still be less than 50 as there are only 6 rugby fixtues spread over a weekend.

As things mature, and future rights agreements are made on terms of full coverage, the number of concurrent streams would of course increase. But for the current portfolio of sports rights, there will not be a time where anywhere close to 100 concurrent streams are needed.

There was indeed a massive difference in quality between the main coverage of the football vs the streaming. Lets hope Sky pick up on this and improve it. Yes its a new process and system, but hopefully they will improve it over time

I'm getting boring now with this!  Sorry all!!

Checked again this afternoon, NEITHER of the last nights 2 Sports + rugby games are on Catch up,  just the tuesday and thursday games watched on a channel ( action and mix?) are there.

Todays game on Action is not on the sports + app.

Sports + does not have previous games, BUT DOES have "hits", a whole 4 minutes of an 80 minute game .... 

AND as i have mentioned several times, I cannot see a catch-up menu item on the sports + app ... despite being told at least twice by Sky help desk that it will be there soon, or in 10 minutes when they "reset" my viewing card ...  load of lies as nothing has worked yet!

Iunderstand Sky are pushing this as a LIVE sport additional service, but it does prevent users from actually getting what they pay for / were getting earlier / what was advertised recently - all 6 RL games each wekend!

Won't even go into the loss of Q functionality moving from room to room and continue where you left ....

Noticed the wording on their promo for sports + now more strongly says chhose of the 2 games on today ...  but I am still sticking to the full promo where it says I can see ALL 6 GAMES every weekend.
