Cheers Sky1992, It was just an example, since Sky say 100 games streamed each week? I just expect clashes with simultaneous games streamed, like my limited example with rugby Super League!
It will be fine, I am sure!

@Rushy64 you won't get any explanation on the forum. Its a forum of other sky customers.
I'd suggest sending your feedback to the Viewer Relations Team (viewerR@sky.uk), and you may eventually get some sort of response from them.

So who is Lisa-P1987. Just someone pretending to be a Sky employee?

Last night the Ipswich game on UHD channel was awful audio wise, glitchy, choppy audio sporsdicoruined the viewing experience for me
I wasn't using Dolby as that makes my Puck whir like some possessed demon, this was normal PCM stereo
I've had the puck five days now and I'm finding very little to like, besides the incredible picture quality it's a buggy mess

Lisa-P1987 doesn't represent the Viewer Relations team, which is where your comments need be addressed, if you want them to be heard.by Sky.

Just tried to watch a Carabao Cup match on Sky Sports + expecting the game I wanted to watch being on the red button. But no, it seems that the only way to watch the game is on the Sky Sports app on my mobile phone. This is a major step backwards from what was available last season. I would definitely prefer to watch a lower resolution picture on my 65" television (as I did on occasions last season) rather than watching the game on my 5.4" mobile screen.
The adverts for Sky Sports + were economical with the truth. The adverts implied that Sky Sports + was a new channel available at no extra cost whereas it is just Sky Sports Arena renamed. They also implied that subscribers would be able to watch many more games on the channel (not on a mobile app). This is very disappointing.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jonathan_S if you have Sky Q or Stream/Glass you can watch the live streams on your TV. If you have a Sky+ box you can't, simply because it's not capable of hosting apps.
I don't believe Sky+ was mentioned in the adverts, simply because it's a legacy platform which Sky no longer market.

So it seems that I am being penalised for not moving from my Sky HD+ 2TB box to a Sky Q box. Not sure why the red button option has been dropped. Yes I can, it is Sky's way of forcing customers to upgrade.
If it was possible to move everything on my Sky HD+ box to a new Sky Q box tomorrow, I would do so. But unlike personal computers where files can be moved from an old device to a new one, Sky does not allow that process. I need to completely clear the HD+ box (and not be able to record anything during the crossover).

The red button on SKY HD relied on extra Satellite channels so there is limited capacity for additional games. This has simply been replaced by streaming via the internet which allows for far more games to be shown at the same time.
SKY HD can't run these apps - the reality is that all tech becomes limited in what it can be used for . Even SKY Q is now 7+ years old & SKY HD is older.
It is quite similar to older PCs , Mobiles & tablets that can no longer run newer apps etc etc that require the latest power & Operating systems

Files a user creates on a PC are their private property to move as they see fit.
Content recorded or downloaded to a Sky box hard drive is not: it remains the property of the rights owner with limited permission for the Sky subscriber to possess it (temporarily and encrypted to a particular drive) for the purpose of time-shifted viewing.
The only content on a Sky box hard drive which a Sky subscriber owns is that purchased through the Sky Store, and this is downloadable from the Store onto the hard drive of a new box (or viewable from server into Glass/Stream)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jonathan_S I wonder if it's worth you prioritising your 'can't miss' recordings and then upgrading egardless of what's left? Some of them may be available On Demand to download on the new box. And bear in mind you'll lose all your recordings anyway if the hard disk in your Sky+ box fails (as it eventually will).

You are missing the point. I was not suggesting that I wanted to transfer programmmes to a personal device but from one Sky box to another Sky box where the access rights would not change. I had the same problem when my previous Sky HD box failed. I lost all the recent recordings when the Sky engineer swapped one box out and another in.
The use of the Sky Sports app is very restrictive when it comes to games on Sky Sports+. Although videos of F1 can be mirrored on my laptop or TV, football games cannot. The app has been specifically designed not to allow subscribers to mirror their phone on a larger screen when it comes to EFL games:

Anyone else having issues with laggy/stuttering Sky Sports + via their Sky Q box?
We have 500mb full fibre, have no issues at all streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, AppleTV+ etc and normal TV works absolutely fine, nothing ever buffers and it works seamlessly.
But whenever we watch Sky Sports+ via the Sky Q box (i.e. going through the menus, or pressing the red button), the live streams of EFL games are ALWAYS laggy/stuttering. The stream will play fine for say 15 seconds, then freeze/buffer for 3-5 seconds. It's horrible and the quality isn't great either.
It's obviously not our connection - what's going on? How can we fix it?
17 Aug 2024 01:53 PM
Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt is happening for others using the Sky Sports TV app on Sky Stream also and I on my Sky Stream have seen it stuttering and freezing on the streams for the Derby and Shrewsbury matches.
The Portsmouth match has been fine for me so far.
Your best bet to get this checked and resolved by Sky is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;
ViewerR@sky.uk
They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems and will pass onto the relevant Sky Sports team.

what a horrible experience tonight was, Everton v Doncaster Rovers, every 2 or so minutes the game froze then clicked back on from where it froze, a friend of mine in work had the game on the radio...so the tv broadcast ended up well behind...after all the freezing during the first 45 minutes the game on tv ended a good 6 minutes behind the live radio broadcast...
then switched to the QPR v Luton game.............exactly the same
so far SKY SPORT+ has been horrible !
