Streaming will never be as close to real time as satellite no matter how much it improves. It will be a sorry day if and when Sky ditch Satellite in preference to this inferior WIFI/Broadband option.

quite a while ago now, but I remember when Sky had Champions League you could record any of the 8(?) live games via the red button - it looks like we can't record the EFL games, only able to watch them live?  Thats...not great.

If this is also the case for the Super League matches, then this is downgrading what has been available for the season already completed. I find this pretty poor service for the customers.

You can record whatever is being shown on the linear sky sports channels. Anything being streamed via the additional sky sports + streams can't currently be recorded.

Therefore if games for a particular sport are being played at the same time, the likelihood is only one of those games will be broadcast on one of the linear channels and thus be recordable.

Sky Sports+ has now arrived with the hope of a better Tennis service - something resembling the excellent service from Discovery+ ( which we have just had for the Olympics Tennis )

With the icons for today's matches at Montreal all showing this morning, before the matches started, it looked promising.

Alas, now they have started we see icons all showing the current score and you can only jump into the match Live - no option to start at the beginning of the match - without knowing the current score.

And of course, once the match is over the icons disappear so no videos to watch from earlier in the day.

Guess it is what we should have expected from Sky - their IT people ( or maybe managers ) seem to have no conception whatsoever of  what tennis fans want.

On catch-up it's not like it's a novel idea it's just look at what Amazon and discovery did/do and copy that.

I still don't see what the fuss about this is. The app launched a couple of days ago, offers nothing more than was there previously with maybe a slight improvement in organisation. The extra courts, football, golf - these were all on the red button anyway before this week.

We mentioned this to Sky a few days ago in the community Superusers forum, when the Sky Stream Sky Sports + app first appeared on Sky and started with the Tennis.

It was mentioned that this and a few other things we flagged be passed onto the relavant Sky teams.

In the meantime, the best pace to pass on such comments/ ideas is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;

They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems and do,pass onto the relevant Sky teams.

If you use the rewind button within a stream you can select x2, x6, x12 and x30 to rewind and also same to ff.

Do agree, an initial Watch from start button along with Watch live would be good. Will mention it Myself to Sky.

But please mention it as an idea via the VR team above. The more do it, the better traction it may have.

Yes but unfortunately not much joy in doing so once you know the Live score, which you cannot avoid seeing from the icon showing the match.

Recorded EFL Start Of Season Launch prog on SS+.

Just went to play it back on one of our two Multibox TVs, and, surprise surprise, got the message "the content you have selected cannot be played on this device"...?!?!?! 

What's this all about?! Never had an issue with any other channel recordings throwing up this nonsense.

Not the best of starts for SS+.

So tonight the tennis on plus is the same as ss tennis (and main event for that matter). The linear channel certainly looks like a downgrade so far.

The linear Sky Sports+ channel is 412. You can record that but not anything on the red button/app.

From the help pages it appears it's possible to watch the sky sports + live content via the website if you download the pc/mac app?
