Sky Premiere League subscription did not give us access to the games tonight - and we are not happy

we subscribe to the Premier League package and only want to watch the football. Tonight, Sky decided to put some games on other channels like the golf cricket and Formula One channels but you couldn't access those unless you paid for the whole Sky sports package even though they were all Premier League games. That seems like full advertising to me. The Support people would not give us a 24 hour upgrade so we could watch the game tonight, so we've had to take out a full subscription to upgrade to Sky sports. The Premier League package feels like it is completely being misrepresented [Removed] What do you think? Basically, paying for PL, we couldn't play PL games being shown on 405, 406, 407 etc...

One of my fellow Superusers asked in our private forum about this and it is correct, for this season when their are multiple premier league games on at the same time only a full Sky Sports subscription will give you access to the other sports channels as a premier league only sub gives you access to that channel only.

@julesakachops Subscribing to Sky Premier league only gives you access to the Premier league channel, and its contents nothing more. Its invetiable that occasionally during the season games will have to be shown on other channels , i don't see why Sky would offer free access to those other channels for 24 hours.

It's a technical restriction - with numbering. It should activate 401a 401b etc..... for the evening. Ideal solution! 🙂

I agree, it should. And, what's more, it used to do exactly that when International matches were shown simultaneously.

But unfortunately, Sky have decided to stop doing it since the launch of the Sky Sports App, which is also only available to full Sports subscribers.
