Re: Rugby league coverage and recording
I entirely agree that the coverage is a fraud on those of us using a Sky+ box.
As a Saints' fan I was hoping to see today's game with Wakefield. I now find that this is streamed on Sky Sports+ (Channel 412) and therefore unavailable to me on that channel. At the same time the traditional Sky Rugby league channel Sky Action (408) is showing replays of matches broadcast earlier in the week! What on earth kind of service does this represent? It is not an improvement and I question what I am paying for?
We are asked to tolerate specific channels for F1 racing and tennis but I have no interest in either.
I can watch a streamed version of most RL matches free of charge on bookmakers' websites on which I hold accounts.
I have been paying Sky for well over 20 years and I am very disappointed and frustrated. This needs a rethink by Sky.

Today's Saints game is on BBC Two if you want to record it.

Re: Rugby league coverage and recording
It's a con by sky, I record the ruby league games for my disabled son so he can watch them at the weekend. Put on a rugby only subscription channel as at the moment I'm paying for others to watch football and then people can choose and get rid of the other channels.....

I suspect Sky would argue that audience numbers cannot justify provision of that service.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Rugby league coverage and recording
I imagine it's not technically possible, but it would be great if games were available on catch-up, then at least you could always see them after the event.

@noob1 who are you paying to watch football.
I'm paying for my own Sky Sports Complete as it's cheaper than just subscribing to F1 which is the reason for having the Sky Sports subscription.

Re: Rugby league coverage and recording
I also pay for the full sky sports , I don't watch anything with a round ball. I pay to watch rugby League and NFL . The amount I pay is subject to the large amount of money that Sky pay for football which I am not interested in. I'm sure you understood what my original comment meant.
Now Sky have put some of the games on sports + which I can't record for me to watch later once I have finished working or for my disabled son so he can watch them at the weekend.

Re: Rugby league coverage and recording
As was said a few months ago, Sky previously only had the rights to 66 Super League matches per year. These are all still shown on normal, recordable Sky Sports channels. The additional 100 matches per year on Sky Sports+ are an extra bonus that previously weren't shown at all on Sky. If you can't watch them you haven't lost anything as the original 66 Super League matches are still on the regular Sky Sports channels.
