Rugby league coverage and recording

So new season 2025 rugby league on sky sports + is a waste of time as I cannot even record it . Definitely a downgrade as half way through last season you changed how we rugby league fans can watch our favourite sport . Had Sky since day 1 and feel like they are taking the (removed). Surely more people watch rugby league than Darts ? But darts has just had a massive influx of money . Extremely dissatisfied in Sky

Fair comment @Kingkevin but isn't Sky Sports Main Event a recordable channel also Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports Action plus Sky Sports + HD is also a recordable channel as well.

The Sky Sports + TV channel is, whilst the Sky Sports + bonus streams via the Sky Sports App aren't. Its confusing because ultimately Sky chose a very poor name for the Sky Sports + TV channel which is why it causes confusion with customers as its easily confused with the bonus live streams via the Sky Sports App.

Sky used to have the rights to show 66 games per season. Now they have the rights to show all 166 matches but the extra matches are on Sky Sports+ and can't be recorded. You aren't really losing anything as the unrecordable matches previously wouldn't have been shown  at all. 

There were a few months last year before Sky Sports+ launched that the extra matches were shown on regular Sky Sports channels but this was never intended to be permenant and as soon as Sky Sports+ launched they moved to that service.

at r he  end of the day I am unable to record rugby league games as much as I previously could so I dissagree I am worse off now than I was in 2023/24

That's incorrect information @Kingkevin as I've posted a screenshot of Rugby League matches on Sky Sports Action HD in a previous post

Not every single match from Thursday to Sunday is via the Sky Sports+ app though

Only Two games are on Sky that can be recorded . Rest are streamed . That is less recordable games than I have ever known . I am not sure why your defending Sky so hard unless your an employee? Sky sports + HD can be recorded but not Sky sports + . 
Two games a week is NOT value for money if you pay for sports package and want to watch rugby league . No wonder there are so many people buying "dodgy sticks" obviously I am not one of those other wise wouldn't be moaning so much but I cannot blame them

Again you are incorrect there are more than two games per week @Kingkevin 

Not defending Sky and I don't work for Sky I'm a paying customer like yourself F1 is my main sport but I also watch the occasional football Sky doesn't cover every single match so I pay for TNT and Amazon Prime to watch matches not available with my Sky Sports Complete subscription @Kingkevin

Trying to watch Leeds v Wakefield, no clock, no tackle count, stuttering picture. RL is bottom of the heap as far as SKY is concerned.

The extra matches on Sky Sports+ are very minimal productions, it's the same  with the extra football matches, so it's not just an RL issue. The choice was either to not show these matches at all (as in previous years) or show them with very basic coverage.

And now the tackle count, 46 minutes.

Technical issues at 76 mins mean no sound, then they take the stream off and put it back at 78 mins during which Leeds score. When it comes back with 30 seconds to go, no sound and picture frozen. Grrrrrrrr.
