Only 3 showing today. Very unhappy

Discovery + with the TNT sports add on is currently showing all live 12 matches, with one of them also showing in UHD.

So far, they have not missed a live match since Sunday.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

We are watching Roland Garros with TNT.  The picture is very dark so that often you cannot see the ball.  The score line frequently disappears.  The only good things are no adverts and a choice of todays matches to watch.

On the whole we prefer Sky presentations.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

TNT does not control the picture quality. That is mostly to do with the host broadcaster. And the number of adverts on the regular TNT channels (1 and 4) is huge. Every 2 games we have long commercials. Same as Sky. Awful.

Been watching matches on and off including the uhd stream so far today.

Which match was that on, or is it all of them?

What Sky service do you have, Sky Q or Sky Stream/Glass?

Finding the picture quality spot on for all the matches today and last few days.

French Open coverage

I love to watch the French Open every year and was so pleased that I have been able to watch it with Sky - until now.

£31.99 to watch a grand slam tennis event that I seem to remember paying only £7 for a month subscription with Euro sport. I am not interested in Premiership football etc and would never pay £31.99 extra for the privilege even if I did.

Sky Tennis has been great to watch - thank you Sky for including this in the Sports package but having to pay £31.99 a month extra, I don't think so. I fear all top events in every sport will be for those that have the money to throw away - £384 a year just for one channel? I understand from other discussions that I could add it for a month and give a months notice, spending £63.98 for two weeks of tennis. Again, no.

Shame Sky don't offer a disciunt to those who have been loyal customers for years.

Sky don't have the rights to the French Open, the rights are owned by Warner Brothers Discovery who decided to close Eurosport and move all their sporting contents over to the Premium TNT Sports channels.

Ultimately that's the consequence of decisions made by event or league owners though, who are extremely happy to charge broadcasters very large sums for coverage rights.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

Totally agree with all you said, it was as if I had written it!   I'm furious but refuse to line the pockets of these people.   I went over to Sky sports, as you did, and now this. 😡  I wish I could somehow find a way around this.  It's soo frustrating not being able to watch my favourite sport. 😢

Re: Roland Garros 2025

Totally agree with your comments, I too couldn't believe it when I turned on to watch the French Open. There is no point to having Discovery + if you then have to still sign up to TNT!

Re: Roland Garros 2025

@CarolineH You dont need to pay £64 to watch Roland Garros. I subscribed to TNT over the phone and then immediately gave notice to cancel in the same phone call.  So, I paid for exactly 1 month only. I know its a rip off, but at least its 1 month of money and not two. Even I wouldn't do that.

There are other ways to get to watch Roland Garros but it would involve installing a new satellite dish and getting a new receiver. A significant outlay but would eventually pay for it itself over a certain number of years.

Discovery+ Basic has a large amount of other content: what WBD removed was the Sports.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

Thank you and I'm sure it does but I'm a huge tennis fan so was just so disappointed at having to pay more in order to watch it.

@Sue610

I'm afraid that Warner Bros Discovery executives have been under substantial stockholder pressure to actually make a profit from the billions they've invested in acquiring Sports content, so continuing to effectively give it away wasn't going to remain an option.

Re: Roland Garros 2025

Don't suppose there's any chance they might be showing the finals for free?
