Looking forward to watching Whicker's World
I suspect quite a few episodes are now unbroadcastable on account of later revelations about the guests involved.

Rewind TV doesn't seem to be available in Ireland. Anyone know if it will be available at some stage ?

Before it could be available here, they'd need to get a broadcasting license from an EU country.
Then, there is added complications regards transmission rights. They might have bought license/rights for UK for distribution of content, but they'd have to negotiate further rights to extend those to Ireland.
I guess whether they decide to or not, will be dependent on how successful it is in the UK.

Thanks for the quick reply. Typically Ireland always last for everything. We're the poor relations of the UK. 😢

Currently it's only broadcast via satellite which is why it's not on the Skys freaking platform.
For it to be broadcast on stream the broadcaster would need the ability to provide an internet based feed. Also there is likely rights issues to sort as it's quite possible a small channel like Rewind TV doesn't have legal rights to stream the shows it's broadcasting.

Also missing from Sky Stream are That's TV, That's TV2 and Talking Picures - all SD. And there are several other SD channels also missing.
Yet VirginMedia have their own stream service and it is almost a comlete copy of their linear line-up - and it includes Talking Pictures and That's TV channel.,

Yes time to leave sky,it really has got more expensive, and the channels keep disappearing, and my poor wife, the subtitles have got really poor, missing half way through, imagine that for some one who is deaf...ah well off to see whats better out there...

Received the new channel ok last night, but it beggars belief tat Sky have not included subtitles in any of the shows. This seemsa a classic case of shooting oneself in the foot, especially as many of the shows would have appeal to an older demographic who like myself have hearing difficulties.
at a stroke they have lost a large cache of their potential audience, and as viewing figures will reflect this advertisers will flee ,so all in all a very false 'economy '. if it is due to technical difficulties then the site should not have been launched until ready, but if it is just a case of penny pinching then someone has made a seriopus mistake here

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@profyork It is up to the Broadcaster in this case Rewind TV to provide subtitles, not Sky, Sky have no control over another broadcasters subtitles or lack of them.
