Phone call about a Netflix deal

I received a phone call today from  Is this sky? Offering me sky and netflix for £1 for 3 months. Any one else had a call?

Entirely possible. But be very careful of signing up to anything from a cold call. 

If you want the deal you'd be better off ringing Sky and asking them for it directly.

It's a bit of a Catch 22. If it was the outbound marketing team calling (quite possible if it was an 0800 number), it's very unlikely that the regular customer service centre will be able to match their offer. On the other hand, it's right to be cautious about giving personal information in response to an unsolicited call.
