Hi @Flash06
Sky do not charge you more for using a different TV - in fact they don't know what type of TV you have.
The only charges relating to the TV you may face are for the quality - there is an extra charge for UHD content on both Stream & SKY Q & also HD on SKY Q

Samsung's QNED range uses mini-LED which can produce an excellent image quality and is good for use in bright rooms as they can often go brighter than OLED models.
As @Fothergill1 says, you don't necessarily have to pay Sky any extra to view programmes from a Sky box. You only need pay them extra if you want to view some content in native Ultra HD, such as Sky Cinema movies or some live sports. It's absolutely not essential though. You can sometimes get a couple of free months of Sky's UHD service on either Q or Stream to see if you notice any difference and think it's worth paying extra for, but it's up to you.

QNED is LG's range rather than Samsung

I think Samsung's equivalent range is Neo QLED?

@xenon81 I looked at the Samsung Neo QLED but for almost the same price I decided the Samsung S90C QD OLED had better picture quality but it was marginal. As part of the Black Friday offers I could also chose. soundbar at half price which of course added to the deal. TBH the sound quality of the S90C is pretty good even without the soundbar.

Whoops - yes, of course. Thanks for the correction.
