MTV Music Channels to close
All MTV Music channels are set to close on glass and stream and all other platforms by 31st December. Only one main MTV channel will remain. This will leave quite a gap

Re: MTV Music Channels to close
that is a pity. The only 4 music channels we have in ROI are the MTV channels

Re: MTV Music Channels to close
When are Sky going to start reducing their prices to reflect the reduction in channels over time? I really ask myself if it's even worth having anymore.

Re: MTV Music Channels to close
@garybarnes I hear a lot of folk saying they are leaving sky not sure why maybe it's the price or bad internet from sky I havd had no issues with sky internet I always said I'd only leave sky if something was to happen with the company I heard this morning that if you shift your internet from sky to EE or any other company the tv side doesn't work as well if your watching via apps etc you have to log back in each time which is why I'm keeping sky broadband as I was informed if you use sky with another provider and it logs you out it probably means your better staying with sky as it's probably a way for them to get you to stay by buffering your tv if you've got another internet provider

For all in the forum thread about to complain to Sky about this closure, this is not Sky's decision. According to The Sun, the closure of the MTV music channels is happening on all providers across the world (excluding the US), not just the UK/Ireland.
Paramount Gobal/Paramount Skydance owns these channels and have decided to close them.
You can go to the MTV UK website and select "Contact us" at the bottom of the page if you wish to contact the MTV UK & Ireland team.

If you wish, you can email viewerR@sky.uk if you wish to contact Sky. Please remember, this is a customer-to-customer forum.

That's completely untrue. The apps don't log out each time if you're using a non-Sky broadband provider. I use Virgin Media for broadband and have no issues whatsoever with apps on Sky.

Re: MTV Music Channels to close
Some Sky hardware users with EE broadband (of whom there likely to be millions) have reported an apparent bug: that's rather different to 'always'
