So having been a Sky member (in their terms Sky VIP) for more than 20 years, I take out a new 2 year contract and shortly after find that I am no longer receiving the channels that I have paid for over those 20 odd years. So I am expected to pay the new enhanced contract rate and be provided with a lesser service. The monthly fee I was paying Sky at the commencement of the contract obviously included the contract costs that Sky were paying Eurosport yet they expect to continue to charge me for this when they are no longer contractually obliged to pay Eurosport anything. Am I missing something because I can't help feeling that this is akin to fraud? I do of course have the option of paying again for these channels by adding the TNT package which the agent tells me I can pay a further £31 pcm for, which as far as I'm concerned would mean I am paying twice for Eurosport. Waiting for another call back, but has anyone else had this debate with them?

Your consent is not needed as it is within the terms and conditions that channels can come and go as it is Warner Brothers who removed the channels from all in the UK as you will not find them anywhere now from Sky to Virgin.

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels
Your T's and C's state that channels come and go and unfortunately Eurosport was pulled by its owners WBD.
The subject was discussed at length in this thread

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels
If you argue that you have been materially disadvantaged by the change then Sky may be prepared to offer early exit without penalty from the minimum term: they are extremely unlikely to reduce your subscription cost.

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels
You have every right to feel aggrieved. I've said it before: the subscription TV model is fast losing it's appeal - prices go up, quality comes down.

@Oonamae Eurosport was in the base package so I fail to see how you paid extra for it
to continue to receive the content you will need to subscribe to tnt sports at extra cost of around £32pm

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels
You're missing the point. I have paid and continue to pay for a package which until the last few days included Eurosport. Now that I can no longer receive the service, Sky continue to take the same amount of money from me and everyone else and no longer have to pay Warner Brothers for the channels so are trousering the money that I pay them without having to pass it on to WB.

There may still be some payments due to WB given the fact they also own TNT sports where the content Eurosport had now sits

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels
[removed]. Unfortunately found out yesterday that near to zero cycling is available to watch on sky unless of course I want to pay another £30 for the privilege. I have watched the grand tours every year and now nothing. I have to pay extra to watch. One of I imagine many very unhappy customers. [removed]

Warner Bros Discovery Inc stockholders may have a different opinion: I suspect they'd quite like a return on investment for billions of dollars spent acquiring broadcast rights.
