Japanese GP replay starts later than shown

The replay starts later than shown in the guide as a result you watch the previous program! It does mean that I don't have to watch the replay now, so that is a positive right?

F1 - Don't trust SKY

Is anyone else fuming having waited for F1 Japanese REPLAY only to turn on the TV to see Max on the podium because they decided that if you don't wantch live, screw it, we will just continue the coverage. I thought it was too good to be true that an actual replay was even available without having to wait 72 hours! Oh, and I'm on Sky Glass, so no I can't record. Joke!!!!!

Ps, this was after last weekend where we tried to watch a qualifying replay on demand only to find out it IS NOT POSSIBLE until after the race?!!!! WHY!!!!!

THEY LITERALLY ARE RUINING THE F1 EXPERIENCE, GOOD JOB IT IS SO CHEAP, NOT!!!!

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

So instead of a replay let's lie to people and change the schedule based on the results and show them the podium as they turn on the TV (having waited patiently to only turn on TV at the right time) RUINING the weekend.

Also, here is a fantastic idea.  When searching for on demand (BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE RACE), let's show news snippets of the results on the Sky interface so you have as little chance as possible to watch catch up without finding out the results first.  Absolutely brilliant.

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

Yes, and the only reason I was even tuning into the replay is that for some reason my Q didn't record the main race broadcast... I've got the build up show and it has started recording chequered flag but inexplicably skipped the damn race.

And now there's no sodding point because the replay was recording before it was actually on as sky are too lazy to adjust timing of shows when things overrun.

Now there is no point watching the race at all as I know the outcomes. Thanks a bunch.

This is the main reason I pay for sky and once again they've ruined it.

Last year they ruined 2 races by prematurely ending recordings.

They can control this but didn't bother, again.

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

You do know the race was delayed by over an hour because of bad weather.

And if you're on Sky Glass, why have you posted in the Sky Q forum?

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

That doesn't matter @digglerthelegend.. They could have fixed the recording timings to account for the revised schedule.

Also, clearly the person watching doesn't know because they haven't watched it yet, duh.

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

I'm fuming as well, my Q box only recorded the pre and post race shows but while looking for an on demand showing of the race they make sure you can't avoid the result. I had it early this year with Super League, I missed a game and while looking for a re run I found one but the thumbnail proudly showed the result !!!!! and even then it was just the highlights.

I pay good money just to watch the F1 and Super League so is it too much to ask to have the games/races available on demand straight after the event and without seeing spoilers.

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

Funny, my sky box did the same thing... Sky clearly screweed up the series link... Naturally on the only sodding race I haven't seen live.

Absolutely pathetic, if you must rely on us recording by programme and series links, you'd think someone at sky could make sure that was right. And worse, because they're too lazy to update the schedule or think about the existing one, they ruin it for everyone because they schedule a replay too soon and don't allow for delays. Because they're so unusual in F1 you can't imagine them...

Re: F1 - Don't trust SKY

@digglerthelegend. the race being delayed is not the problem for lots of people. The fact is the race was not recorded, I've not really got a problem with the ending running over to the checkerted flag programme my issue is the failure to find a re run of the race in UHD  while seeing the result in the process.

Did anyone have their Q box record the race?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Did the previous programme over run? That was probably why. If it was the live race, then it would have been outside of sky'scontrpl and could have been caused by race incident(s)

Re: Japanese GP replay starts later than shown

It's an interactive TV guide maintained by Sky, they know what programmes they're broadcasting better than us viewers, so a simple matter to link the broadcast, Sky, programme to the interactive schedule.

At the moment, one hour forty-five minutes later, it still hasn't started and the schedule hasn't been updated; it's also on the "main event" channel.

Re: Japanese GP replay starts later than shown

The listings on Sky F1 are USELESS! Many a time I've gone to watch something and it isn't on. Yes, I get that live broadcasts can have a knock-on effect, but they really need to be updating the listings ASAP. I was going to watch the highlights of this morning's Japanese GP at 1230. I kept checking the TV guide every half hour in case the time had changed, even checking it shortly before broadcast. Thinking it was "safe" to turn on Sky F1 at 1230 (I still didn't know the result),  only to find not only were the highlights already on, but had started 50 mins earlier at 1140!! Why wasn't this reflected in the listings? I ended up watching it on Channel 4.

Re: Japanese GP replay starts later than shown

Thank you sky for f.ing up the F1 season by failing to record the Japan race..and showing the results on other feeds..

Sky buying out the F1 coverage was the worse deal ever..

Re: Japanese GP replay starts later than shown

Had the same problem where it didn't record. Is the race even available on demand? I can't find it.
