Is it just me or is the VIP offer for Vue tickets of no use whatever?

If you are going to have offers for cinema tickets, it might me nice to make them available to all qualifying users rather than those who live in areas of your chosen cinema chain.  There are none within miles of where I live.  Also it would be good to have an easy e mail link.

In case you are not aware you are not email Sky by posting it where you did on here as this is a customer helps customer forum. Having said that there are no cinemas anywhere near me either but I still see the VIP ticket offer in the app.

Also if you  want there is nothing  stopping  from giving  them to a family  member  or friend, i am in a similar situation  as you i don't  drive and the nearest  one to me is an hours drive  away  so i send them to my son who is a student in  London and he uses  them

I expect it only makes financial sense for Vue and Sky as an exclusive deal. Vue benefits from being advertised on Sky and from people attending Vue cinemas instead of their competitors. Some of the people using the free tickets will buy drinks and popcorn which probably covers most of what they lose on ticket sales.

You are actually breaking the terms and conditions of your Sky Cinema contract by giving them to your son:

  • Voucher codes can be used only by Sky Cinema customers. Voucher codes cannot be sold or gifted to third parties, nor may they be exchanged for cash or merchandise. Codes may not be used in conjunction with any other ticket offer.

Though to be honest, if I had Sky Cinema I would probably do the same, and I'm sure many other people do too.
