I can't get confirmation anywhere as to what Championship fixtures will be available on the red button next Tues/Wed night. I want to watch WBA v Cardiff. I know Sky have rights until 2024. Thank you.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ash123 Next weeks games are not designated as one of the full 8 midweek rounds that are covered by this service, so not all if not any will be on the red button (I will add the full rounds which are covered when I find them)
@nolte no the football league red button games are covered by the current EFL broadcast contract which pre dates pandemic

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWas additional matches on red button a thing they only did because of the pandemic when stadiums were closed.
You could email viewer relations at ViewerR@sky.uk as they may have more information but best guide to live football on sky is:

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ash123 The full midweek rounds that are covered by the red button this season are
Aug 30/31
Sep 13/14
Oct 04/05
Oct 18/19
Nov 01/02
Feb 14/15
Mar 14/15
Apr 18/19
the reason there is a one off 9th week is to cater for the World Cup and is therefore not covered by the contract
edit: correction the reason is not the World Cup in general it because (They need an extra as Dec 24 is a Saturday and not being used And also the Midweek between Boxing Day and New Year is not either)

I think you are both right, but...
The Sky contract is until 2024. My understanding is if the club are streaming it through their own streaming service, then it will be on Sky red button.
E.g. Bham v Huddersfield was on red button. I think, 5th August. But was not shown on the main channels.
WBA v Cardiff is being streamed by WBA. So I think it will be on.
Ill let you know. Thanks for the info.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ash123 There is this guidance that Sky published sometime ago, I've corrected the reason for the extra round in my previous post
Please note: We can only show rescheduled, displaced midweek games or games taking place away from Saturday at 3pm that are not part of a regular midweek round on the Red Button where respective clubs stream them on their iFollow app.
