I just wanted to talk to a human

I have building work going on,  does the dish need to remain or is all the signal now through the telephone line?

If you have satellite tv the dish needs to stay otherwise you will lose access to the channels

If you have a Sky+ or a Sky Q box, the signal comes from the dish.

Re: I just wanted to talk to a human

If you have Sky+ or Q then the dish has to stay as they are Satellite services. If you prefer not to have the dish anymore you could switch to Stream but you'd need to contact Sky by phone or a Sky retail centre to arrange this. You'll need a certain speed of Internet and the existing box will have to be returned so you would lose any recordings on it.
