How to watch the Quilter Autumn Rugby Internationals without TNT subscription? on Discovery+?

can Discovery + be upgraded without full TNT?

are highlights available on Sky? any other channel?

Same goes for the Ashes, why has TNT got everything we want to watch?

They bid and subsequently paid more. Sky are not permitted to have a monopoly on all sports coverage.

Warner Bros Discovery Inc has global reach, while Sky Group is present as a broadcaster in three European countries.

In the case of the Ashes, television rights are sold by the host country to the platform(s) of their choice.

Indeed, and one of the issues with the cricket rights in particular is that a broadcaster cannot typically just purchase the rights for an England tour of a country. With the deal that TNT Sports signed for the Ashes for example, not only have they paid for the rights to show the Ashes ( which is obviously the property they wanted) but they also had to pay for the privilege of showing all Australian international home cricket for the 2025/26 season despite the fact those home international Australian cricket matches will likely have a small audience and small interest within the UK market.
