Worst decision Comcast has made (so far) was retiring Sky One. Anyone think it will make a comeback? Used to think Sky One was one of the better channels, couldn't beat watching Dream Team on it years ago!

Yeah, but it's not the same. By splitting the content across the two replacement channels cheapened it a bit of you ask me. Maybe it's just the nostalgia of it for me, but then there is a lot of demand for nostalgia these days, what with the depressing state of affairs we live in nowadays.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt was announced on 27 July 2021 that Sky One would be retired and that a new channel, Sky Showcase would replace its EPG slot on Sky. Another channel, Sky Max would launch on the same day. Most of Sky's original content and the drama output would move there, while the most of the comedy output would move to Sky Comedy.

Not sure I'd read too much into a comedy station closing in Germany.
Sky Deutschland have been making a lot of cut backs and talks of the company being sold. They've also announced that they would stop commissioning new original programming.

It was shut down due to increasing On Demand usage , they said they didn't need linear channel comedy channel, certain content is now shown on Sky Showcase, Sky One (suprised it hasn't been rebranded in Germany) , Sky Atlantic and Sky Replay, save very little money by closing it
The channel never launched on Sky Italia either
Doesn't look Sky Deutschland is being sold for now
