Homicide: Life on the Street UHD

For anyone who has started watching/recording Homicide: Life on the Street on Sky Atlantic, it is available from On Demand in UHD. I mention this because I was completely unaware of it until I happened to see it mentioned during an ad break on S1 E2. As it is a show from the '90s I wasn't expecting there to be a UHD version but apparently it has been given a restoration.

Another thing to mention, if you do go to On Demand to download it, you will see that there are only 4 episodes available for S2. I have checked on Wiki & this is correct. I thought it was a bit strange, given that S1 is 9 episodes, but the reason is that S1 had low ratings & so NBC only ordered 4 episodes for S2 & went from there to see if it would continue.

I haven't seen this series before, not sure why I missed it first time around, but I'm two episodes in & enjoying it. And now I can enjoy it in UHD. Hope this is of help to someone.

Re: Homicide: Life on the Street UHD

I've never watched Homicide before.  But I was just looking for a particular episode which was a crossover with Law and Order.

So I have been watching Law and order on 5USA, Series 8 Episode 6 Baby it's You is a crossover episode with Homicide Life on the Street Series 6 Episode 5 Baby It's You.

There is no mention of this I just wanted answers as the 1st part just ended with no real ending.  So I googled it and that's when I came across this post.  Maybe someone else out there wanted answers too.

Re: Homicide: Life on the Street UHD

Yeah I saw the ads and downloaded the whole lot in UHD. The whole series intrigued me as it's a precursor to The Wire with some of the same actors and loads of cameos. Great cast, good stories, already finished S1, about to finish S2. Great restoration too.
