ALL Sky SD owned channels are soon to change their delivery protocol to one that only the HD boxes can process so ALL older SD only boxes will be defunct for these channels

Either replace your incompatibile boxes with a second hand Sky+HD box (DRX890 or DR895) or upgrade to Sky Q/Sky Glass/Sky Stream

That being a quarter of a century ago would be the clue; )

Note that Sky will only advise moving to the Q platform (or streaming) because those are their current platforms: if you don't wish to do so then you'd need to source a late model (c2015) Sky+ HD box second hand, as @Annie+UK indicates.  These are around £30 on eBay: it's unclear if Sky intends to keep them in support until satellite television is no longer a thing.

I have not read anything specific from other providers such as UKTV (Alibi  Gold, Eden (the subscription channels) , Drama, Dave,  W, Yesterday (Free)) but I think it may only be a matter of time before they switch also
