Harry Potter

I am absolutely fed up with all these Harry Potter "seasons."  It's on for a few weeks then off for a week or two then it's back again! 

Can't it please end?  Has Sky got a rolling contract with JK Rowling to keep showing Harry Potter?

Please have something different, like all the Star Trek movies or better still a Chris Pine Season. He's made some amazing films in most genres.

I've been with Sky for over 21 years. Please give me something I like.

I agree. It's has got tiresome. It feels like anytime there are school holidays, they always bring it out this channels

They are included with their movie deal with Warner Bros. Pictures, that's who owns them.

I use On Demand for movies so don't get affected by what they use the broadcast channels for 🙂 Does it really matter that much there are lenty of other movies to choose from

They must get enough viewers for HP or they'd not take up the time slots with it

I don't use on demand and to be honest there isn't many films that I love. I pay for my movie channels so I think that as it's a paid for service people should have a choice.

I downloaded and bought Don't Worry Darling last September. I appreciate I get to keep the film but it cost over £20. 

It can run up pretty expensive.

I think you might be confusing On Demand for the movies as part of SKY Cinema with SKY Store - I suspect @Annie+UK is just meaning she downloads the films from SKY cinema rather than setting to record from the SKY Ciinema Channels when they broadcast via Satellite

I suspect  many, if not most people,  only use SKY Store very occasionally when films aren't yet available elsewhere or for something special they do want to keep.

As for Don't Worry Darling, that will be on Sky Cinema soon after 23rd May as that's the date it's available to rent till, Sky Cinema in Germany gets on 3rd March

There can only be a 'wide range' of content which Sky can afford to obtain rights to distribute based on the revenue from Cinema subscriptions (plus a profit margin) and, more importantly, which a streaming service isn't prepared to pay more for, or hasn't been withdrawn from general distribution by a studio to provide exclusively through its own app. 

Frankly broadcasting live premium subscription film channels is a concept from the 1990s which is now rather showing its age.

Going back to ITV or maybe HBO max rebranding to MAX and merging with Discovery +.
