I was halfway through watching the Harry Potter movies when I discovered that they have been removed from the Sky Ho app completely. Everywhere online says that they should still be on there. Does anyone know where they have gone and/or which streaming service has bought the rights to it?

The Harry Potter channel seems to have disappeared, does anyone know why or know when it's coming back?

'Themed' SKY Cinema Channels are usually on set up for a few weeks (I am not to sure how many but probably around a month)
Any particular theme is only likely to be done once a year - although I admit I have no specific analysis for that
You should also be aware that the rights to films also come & go so when the 'Themed' channel is renamed it is possible that the films that were shown may not be available via SKY Cinema to download until SKY acquire the rights again

Sky lost the rights to the Harry Potter films on February 27

The sky rights on Harry potter expired for the time being on 27th February 2023.
I'm not sure when the movies will return sky cinema

Depending on the platform, Sky do tell you when an On Demand will expire, but you have to check yourself. There's no popup reminder

Posted by a Sky employeeUnfortunately, the license to the Harry Potter movies has expired for now and we don't have any information on when this will be returning 😔 Although I remember this happening some time ago and they actually returned within a matter of days, so we'll see!
I'm getting my Harry Potter fix through Hogwarts Legacy at the minute⚡

And for those who still use optical disk players, the going price for a charity shop DVD is 50p and a whole round pound for a Blu-ray: some kind of natural law dictates there's at least one HP movie in every such shop in the country.
