I have been using the Sky+ app to plan what I view as I can see from the app when shows I want to watch expire. For example, if I have recorded the full series of something and the Sky+ app says it is available to download for another 2 years (for example), I will delete my recordings apart from episode 1, giving me more storage space on my box for new recordings.
However, Sky have now decided to remove support for Sky+ app from 31st May, but the Sky Go app does not show when a programme/series is available to download till.
How can I now see how long a series is available to download for without this information being given on the Sky Go app?
Sky have a habit of removing the things most useful to customers without asking their customers themselves, the same way they removed Sky Never Miss and I've also read Favourite channels is being removed as an option too!!

They certainly do but for now the app should keep on working beyond the 31st May date as other than the 30 day deletion date you get there isn't a way of finding out this yourself apart from posting in the Whats On forum on here and asking somebody with a Sky+ box to check the dates for you.

If I have to ask someone with Sky+ when a programme expires, what's the point in me having Sky Q. If the features that help me are removed, the service becomes of lesser value to me, so it will be taken into account when my contract ends. It might well come to me cancelling Sky, saving £74 a month and switching to a streaming service.

It is worth noting you are only talking to other customers here.
You could email viewer relations at viewerR@sky.uk this issue but unfortunately it would be unlikely to change anything.
Possibly they are removing because less and less people are using it. Security updates are needed to maintain the app so if user numbers are low, the cost per user is too high, sadly.
On the switching to a streamer, some disney plus users have realised that it doesn't even give the basic that a show is disappearing in 30 days as I found out yesterday with 2 programmes I was watching.
