WBD have also decided not to put the HDR versions on Discovery+ yet they are available to them.
Contracts prevent BBC from providing the event on more than three channels snd no HDR.
WBD put the Eurosport 3-9 channels on EEtv (BTtv) - but not the 4K channel for some reason.
My view is that WBD don't actually care - ther are closing down Eurosport soon.

The HDR versions are on Max apparently
They're on Peacock. Owned by Comcast. Who also own Sky.
Talking about Europe, the HDR versions are on Max for selected sporting events

It's like they don't care about Discovery+ anymore, which will stop being used for streaming Live Sport by 2026

Sorry, yes, you're right. I just checked. The live synchronised diving is streaming in Dolby Vision via Max.

And to think France broadcasting 2 FREE 4K channels over their freeview equivalent!
F/Fwd to 2028 when we'll all be able to watch the Olympics by renting it on VHS tapes from our local Blockbuster Video Emporium. 🙄

So, the triathlon has been postponed due to " water pollution ". Yeah, right. We all know the real reason. We've all seen Under Paris. Daaa Dum, Daaa Dum, Da Dum Da Dum Da Dum.....

I'm actually a Virgin Broadband customer but don't have their TV service. However, about a year ago I got a free Virgin Stream Puck. I don't use it as it doesn't give me anything that I don't get from other sources including Sky Q. Except.. I connected it up, subscribed to a month of their Sky Essentials pack (about £12) and now have access to the Eurosport 4K channel for the rest of the Olympics.
It is somewhat bizzare that people who are getting their Sky services through a secondary provider are getting more than those dealing with Sky direct.

Eurosport has nothing to do with Sky , it's operated by Warner Bros Discovery.
What Warner Bros Discovery chooses to do is up to them, TNT Sports on Virgin is also £10 cheaper than Sky.

Nice to see that throughout the Olympics, no 4K (sure the games were great and it was enjoyable), only the opening ceremony was meant to give us hope in 4K (As divisive as that was), and they're (WBD) so gracious that they think we deserve to see the closing ceremony in 4K, like a ha ha moment. Just disgusting. Oh sure some of us get Discovery Plus for "free" depending on your package, but then it's a sub standard service. On Sky Q the app is awful, lagging, the sound is muted, but hey, it's "free" I've also tried watching on Xbox but same issue pretty much. Roll back the years when Beeb showed it in glorious 4K.

But it's also upto Sky to make the deal with Warner, that's not an excuse.
Virgin would of sat around a table with Warner just like Sky and done the best deal for their customers.
Sky has let us down, no question.

Indeed, and yet Sky keeps raising prices each year for non-existent content, it's like we're going backwards all of a sudden.

I should point out that Discovery + is owned by WBD and Sky is owned by Comcast, both rival US global cable and tv/media companies that don't exactly get along that well.

Backwards?
At times through discovery plus app, you had option of watching 30 or up to 40 different matches/events at once.
Every single moment of every event was streaming through discovery plus.

I see you didn't read my post properly, the app is rubbish in Q and also on Xbox. Incidentally it worked on my phone, but that's not the point is it? I have a 50 inch 4K TV, I'd rather watch stuff on there, but not when it's rubbish quality...so yes, backwards!
