Yet again sky cannot get the rights to watch englqnd test cricket! You still want to charge an expensive subscription!! And you put all your finance into football and who cares about women's football?? Come on you were the driving force when watching test cricket abroad the service is becoming not value for
money!!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreFYI - practically no one was able to get the rights to, the deal was made at the last minute by TNT Sports.
The rights for all cricket played in India is owned by a third party and they were asking for a lot of money for a UK broadcaster to purchase the rights off of them. It looks like TNT Sports finally agreed a deal but it's incredibly last minute which is unusual for sport and does typical indicate the rights holder being a pain when negotiating with broadcasters.
Also why should you expect Sky to have the rights to all of cricket. This is the way the sports rights work, whoever holds the broadcasting rights always extracts the maximum amount of money and uses the competitive market to ensure they get as much money as possible. TNT Sporte have slowly been increasing the money they spend on cricket rights clearly a good indicator that cricket is becoming a good ratings and revenue driver for sports once again.

An increasing number of people like women's football as can be seen by the growing attendance figures at WSL games and international competitions in the UK and overseas. I for one enjoy watching Lionesses matches so in answer to that part of your post I for one care.

I can find 90 minutes to watch football but certainly not 5 days to watch a cricket match that could still end in a draw. Give me T20 cricket any day of the week

From the articles I've read online, Sky Sports tactically chose not to bid and are focusing on other cricket rights. TNT tactically have bid for a lot of the foreign cricket rights, and secured most of them.

Test cricket for me anytime.... Though not shelling out £20-25 to tnt to watch us spinned out on 'home friendly' pitches..😅

I love cricket and football and it's great and very important what Sky are doing for women's football. Test cricket is on the decrease, though I will watch some on TNT. Cricket is all about the one day game now, though the ashes series is important.

Looking online it seems you can get a 31 day rolling for £18 per month cancel anytime so I could watch the cricket and Arsenal 's round of 16 UCL (hopefully there will be more 😊) for a not too bad price.
However looks like i'd have to recontract my base signature and probably sky sports but the difficult to understand south asian fella i susequently spoke to wasn't too helpful (even said best tnt offer he could give was £20 so £2 more lol).
Anyone gone through this got any advise, thanks.
I'll probably add online tommorow night in time for first test in Hyderabad 😊
Ps. Oh and it seems like a lot more live EPL games on TNT over Sky in next week or so, unusually.

Get rid of womens football and put the money you save towards mens International cricket. Have no interest in womens football, TNT is a bloody pain so looks like I will be listening to second rate Talk Sport Commentary. Shame on BBC as well for not getting TMS contract but hey athis is the world we live in now.

They could, of course, have spent an unlimited amount of Licence Fee income to outbid a commercial rival in securing BCCI radio broadcast rights to a fixture that has a tiny UK audience with absolutely no backlash at all...

@Robertojo So because you have no interest in women's football Sky should stop paying for it and showing it? That's a mighty level of self importance you have there.

get rid of men's international cricket and put the money you save towards women's football.
