I would like to start a new thread. With the news that Amazon Prime Video will be showing 3 LIVE matches a week from the French football league at a price of £ 2.49 p a game. Could that lead to the end of the 3 p.m. blackout of ALL live football at 3 p..m. Al on British T.V.? Also should it?

@theredhouse55555 I see no relevance this deal has on the blackout as it can't lead to anything new because if the games were to be played during the blackout they wouldn't be able to be shown in the uk because blackout would still apply
the only way it would lead to anything new is if they were shown at 3pm on Saturday
the blackout has to be removed first which is not going to happen until at least
29/30
personally I wouldn't want it to end because there is too much football for me already

The games on offer don't appear to be the 3pm games (as expected given the blackout) so don't see it as anything that could lead to such.
Given how unsuccessful PPV of PL was a few years ago, it's difficult to see PPV of one of the weaker European leagues being a success.

Amazon Prime still must adhere to the 3pm blackout rule.
As a result, the upcoming Ligue 1 match between Saint-Étienne and Nice on Saturday 1 March at 16:00 is not being broadcast in the UK, anywhere. Amazon might have it delayed to a later time or show highlights of it afterwards . But no, there is no plans to remove the 3pm blackout rule.
It may be available on Amazon Prime, but may not be available to view until after 17:15.
